Scrubee Body Butter is our super moisturizing, toffee-scented body scrub: it was originally a Mother’s Day exclusive, but you loved it so much that we had to bring it back for good! Genesis and Madu from our manufacturing team are here to show us how these lil’ buzzers are made. We start by chopping up fair trade organic cocoa butter, which has a rich, skin-conditioning texture to really soften you up. Next, we prepare ground almonds and ground coconut shell, which buff away dry skin to leave you super smooth. (No plastic microbeads here!) Then we add a generous helping of local honey to lock moisture into your skin. The finished mixture gets poured into molds to create the Scrubees’ black stripes, and they’re topped up with more cocoa butter to complete our scrubby bees. And that’s how it’s made!

I never even thought about the impact of plastic microbead use until watching these types of videos. I like that Lush also offers many products with minimal to no packaging, as well as their empty pot return program.

As someone who's allergic to most scented soaps/ fancier soaps/ lower quality soaps these types of videos are so nice. Normally I can tell by smelling the soap, but it's always nice to stay on the safe side so I don't break out in hives. Thanks!
Faith Elizabeth You can tell what? Fragrance and most natural ingredients can irritate so if your skin is really sensitive you have to stick to hypoallergenic soaps
THey use synthetic 'fragrance' in 90% of their products. IMO that offsets any 'natural' and 'fresh' ingredients they use. I can't use any of their products, but I do like watching the process of how they make them.

I’m so obsessed with this soap please never pull it off the shelves it’s the best soap I have ever used in my life and for seven bucks you can’t beat it especially now that I’ve been pregnant my skin has been so dry this soap is so moisturizing I’m obsessed and in love with this product
One of my absolute favorite products from LUSH! I have had ashy elbows and heels for YEARS and this took care of it with just using it in the shower a few times a week. I LOVE THIS!
Scrubee is my favourite scrub that I've tried, to me, it feels a lot more exfoliating. That really helps me personally because I have a skin picking disorder, and keeping my skin clean calms my picking a little bit. And when you're done, it leaves your skin so soft

Best thing ever! Wish they made one with not as much ground almonds. I have reallllly dry skin and when I use this, I don't even need to put on body lotion and my skin stays moisturized the entire day! Definitely a must-have lifesaver for really dry skin. I don't find it lasts very long, but totally worth it for me. 😊

What do you do with the leftovers which you scrab away before you add the cocoabutter mix (to create the yellow stripes)?
We reuse these materials as much as we can to prevent waste, and anything extra that can't be used is composted!

I’m in love with the scrubbee it smells sooooo amazing. Do you have a body butter with the same scent but without the exfoliant? If you don’t you could call it the softee 🤷🏼♀️ I would just love to have the scent and the moisture of this for on the go

A male Lush fan here! I love most Lush products, except those that could be considered to be overtly feminine (i.e pink coloured and/or rose scented). My favourites include: The Comforter, Blue Skies, Outback Mate soap (fantastic scent!), Karma soap, Sexy Peel soap, Cyanide Pill bath bomb, Guardian of the Forest bath bomb, Avobath bomb, Scrubee, Wiccy Magic Muscles (lovely allspice scent), and many more. The 'Guardian of the Forest' bath bomb reminds me of a fragrance called 'Beyond Paradise' (men's version), by Estee Lauder. Anyone agree that it smells similar (or sort of)?

Hi there! We suggest rubbing Scrubee onto wet skin. Once you massage it into your skin, you're welcome to rinse it off and gently pat yourself dry for amazingly soft skin!
