The Congress Avenue Bridge is located in Downtown Austin and crosses over Lady Bird Lake. It hosts the largest urban bat colony in the world, estimated at 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats. This video is an unsuccessful attempt at catching the bats flying out on Halloween weekend, but a lovely sunset nonetheless! Watch as multiple runners, kayaks and boats cruise by and crowds gather for bat watching with peaceful ambient park and traffic sounds.
