Thanks Brenda, oooh, have you been tempted to get a gel plate and give it a go? I hope so, it is a lot of fun and the painty papers that result are fabulous for all sorts of projects! 💗💗
I love the proto, with the multi colors,,,love! Thanks again for the freebies, and also, quit being so hard on yourself with the lives! They are wonderful. It's great to be able to talk to all the fellow journalers around the world, and everyone is so kind! I think you're doing a great job
Thanks Christy, yes, the multicoloured one has grown on me, I will make some more of those. You are right, the great thing about the lives is chatting to fellow journalers and yes, everyone is so lovely in there, it is so enriching. I hope to get better at it and less nervous over time! 💗💗
Aw, you are so kind, Brenda, it is lovely to connect in real time with like-minded people all over the world and it uplifts my spirits every time. The nerves soon fade once the stream starts, hopefully over time I will get better (especially with the technology stuff)! 💗💗
I love the pale blues and greens too! Usually for my holiday giving I go to metallic! You have a great assortment of pages to work with, you are very ambitious! All those lucky card recipients!
Watching now, so enjoyed the gel plate session and all the lovely stencils. A wonderful idea to draw round the trees on the reverse. I gasped when I saw the little pile of colourful trees on your desk. Delicious sprinkles too 🎄
Thanks Jane, yes, that is my favourite, although part of me wants to do some other colour-ways now, eg, rainbow or purples or B&W or all gold or all silver... oh dear...💗💗
Hi Kari! Your nails look so pretty! I prefer the pale colors too💗 I do see the traditional colors working their way back into style….but my heart belongs to the pastels. I have not tried jelly printing yet! I will some day 💗I have not made any Christmas cards yet. I am not sure I will have time this year which makes me sad 😢Hopefully I can at least make a few❤ Your cards are beautiful!!! I love them both but the blue is my fav!
Thanks Jovi, I do like the green sparkly nails at this time of year! Yes, I too like the paler colours, although now my thoughts are turning to other colourways as well. Oh yes, get yourself a gelli plate, you will love it. I will only be making a few cards, people exchange cards less and less these days, don't they? Hugs! 💗💗
I love watching the creation of gel prints. I also love making them but the time it takes to get everything out and hauled into the kitchen table takes so long. thank you for the great printing session and the cards you made. Have you tried rice paper on your prints yet?
Thank you, yes, you are right, getting everything set up does take time when you are gel printing. I tend to do a long session to make the most of it and then put the plate away for several months. I love the interesting painty papers that result and they are great for collage, so it is worth the effort, I feel! 💗💗
Really nice! I've been struggling to come up with an idea for my own cards, as well as cards to sell at our local Art Hop. You always seem to have the nugget of inspiration I need, when i need it! 💙💚💜
Thank you very much, I am so glad you now have an idea, there are lots of variations that can be made as well: bauble shapes, stars, different colourways (metallics for instance)... Good luck selling some at the local Art Hope, I hope it goes well! 💗💗
Hallooooo, darling! I ADORE to gel print! It's one of my favourite things to do. Once again, your lovely spirit and enthusiasm shines through, dear Kari. I never tire of watching gel printing. My printing plates are some of my most favourite and treasured art supplies. I find it very zen and calming to do a session when I've something on my mind. I always come away comforted and feeling loads better. This year I began making my cards in October. I've quite a long list so I try to get a start as early as I can. I'm finishing them up this weekend to put in the post on Monday. Thank you for sharing this wonderful inspiration! Much love and bless, my dear xoxo EDIT: I just want to say how very proud I am that you are doing "lives" now, Kari! They are one of the highlights of my week! xo
Hi dear Lindsey, yes gel printing is such fun, it is always a delight to see what lovely prints occur. Well done for starting your cards so early, I only do a few handmade ones and it takes me a while to get into the Christmas spirit, so I have only just started. Thanks so much for the encouragement about the lives, they are so lovely and it is great to have such a fun group join in. (Sorry for my tardy reply, I have visitors staying at the moment)! 💗💗
Oh I definitely love the blues best!! I’m new to gel printing but those I’ve tried I’ve been very happy with. Ending up with some fascinating grungy prints!
Thanks Rose, I am glad you are liking your gel prints, it is such a great technique to get some lovely papers, I could do it all day, given the chance! 💗💗
Orange is my favorite color so that gradient between the red and yellow is 🤩🤩🤩 I’ve enjoyed watching this, it’s given me good ideas. I started making cards and collecting paper crafting supplies two years ago but I haven’t tried gel printing because I just didn’t understand its purpose. Now I have some ideas.
Thanks so much, oh give gel printing a go, it is such a great way to make lovely collage papers. I will be exploring the technique a lot over the year, so keep your eyes open for some fun gel printing videos! 💗😊
I have ordered some gelli plates. I’ve been inspired by your videos to try it. I’m excited. Are these just regular acrylic paints or is it a particular type of ink?
Yay, Robyn, I am so glad you have got some gelli plates on order, you will have a wonderful time with them, I am sure. Let me know how you get on! I use just any acrylic paints that I have on hand, but thinner ones are best. Have fun! 💗💗
Pretty!!! I love the blues beat with this project. 😊 I still need to get myself a gel plate!! 😂 Anyone know the best place to buy them? Anything else needed besides a roller?
Thanks Tina, yes the blues are my favourite too. I purchased my gel plates on amazon as I don't have any craft stores nearby. You don't need anything else apart from paint, a roller, some stencils and mark-making tools. It's great fun! 😃🩷🩷
Super!! Thanks! Do you have a favorite brand, or does it really matter? Are there different types of rollers; if so, which do you think works best? If you have a moment...🤭
Kari I've just watched this video & it's my introduction to your gelprinting. I SO ENJOYED it & learned from it. I have a gel plate & cheap dollar store acrylic paints & a brayer & that's about as much as I know about this craft. I have subscribed which is something I rarely do as my time seems to be taken up with so many things, but I am really looking forward to learning with you. Thank you thank you from the west coast of BC, Canada!
This is the first time I've seen gel printing and I love, love, love it!
Thanks Brenda, oooh, have you been tempted to get a gel plate and give it a go? I hope so, it is a lot of fun and the painty papers that result are fabulous for all sorts of projects! 💗💗
There lovely kari I agree the splatters finished them off nicely xx
Thanks Tracey, I might as well put splatters on everything at this rate! 🩷🩷
I like the blues and greens. I also like the other one with the purple as well with the blue and green. Quite nice.
Thanks Brenda, yes, now I look at it, I rather like the prototype one with a mix of colours as well! 💗💗
We love your lives too Kari
Fun Geli-printing. You'll have such fun won't you with those I love both colours😊 ❤
Thanks so much Toni, gel printing is a lot of fun! 🩷❤️🩷

Thanks Maria, my gel plate has been a bit neglected too, it is fun, I should do it more! 🩷🩷
I love the blue wintery one the best! Absolutely lovely and so simple but totally Christmas!
Thanks Jane, yes, that is my favourite, although part of me wants to do some other colour-ways now, eg, rainbow or purples or B&W or all gold or all silver... oh dear...💗💗
@@KariGibsonArt yes to all of the above but rainbows maybe misconstrued ....... 🤣🤣

I'm just about to get started with gel printing. I love that you made your backgrounds, and went back in, rather than waiting for layers to dry...
Thanks Leanne, yeah, who has time to wait for paint to dry? LOL! 🥰
I love these!!! Thank you so much! I’m going to try these tomorrow … you are always so much fun and very inspiring! ❤

Wedgwood blue, peacock blue, teal blue - sage greens and dusty roses with metallic gold would be heavenly with your stencils. 🥰
Oooh, those colours are my favourites and the metallic gold always works for me! 💗💗
thank you for inspiration and sharing- with love from denmark
Very fun cards and Gelliprinting session Kari! 💙🎄💙
