Don't forget that 2.2 engine of yodha is very smooth and refined derived from safari stome engine.
@Nikhil Shinde yes, yodha bs4 3.0 engine derived from tata 407, now yodha bs6 2.2 engine derived from safari storme engine, even sound the same as safari storme.....both are legend engines. Bolero is just a cheap engine, still using that loud unrefined DI engine derived from first generation mahindra max, it is louder and weak compared to yodha.
@Nikhil Shinde commercial vechile needs torque not hp... and mahindra bolero is india's strongest chassis vechile ... i have 7 vechiles yodha ,mahindra pickup 1.7t ,dost plus maxitruck all vechiles ..... bolero is always king.. never compare with bolero pickup with any vechile .. yodha gives only 10-11 mileage pickup gives 12-13 in below 70 speed, even we dont know.. new yodha engine is failure or successful because recently launched but bolero engine is . more than 20 years old... we know it is definitely runs 3lakhs kms without any tension and major issue is new yodha engine spare not available in out side stores in service center the spare is not in stock if we got any problem need to wait 10-15 days for spare availability in store but bolero spare are available any small automobile store also.. dont only compare with hp... need to check all aspects ... and bolero pickup 1.7t 4500kg load without acceleration it will be move upto 4th gear with 40 speed

Bolero pickup is market leader because it's been here since 15yrs.. but Tata Yodha(not xenon) came just 2yrs back and has better power, dimensions, looks, hill performance, 4x4, AC, warranty, ground clearance..
Mahindra never cared to increase specs for 15yrs and not VFM..
Tata has given better specifications for the cost.. both are good vehicles buy Yodha is better; fans can buy Bolero, others can buy Yodha..

Yodha has smooth and silent 2.2 engine derived from safari storme, while engine of bolero is like a tractor. Also the torque of yodha is massive compared to bolero puny torque.

But yodha 2.2l is not as powerful as mahindra bolero engine. Yes 2.2 is faster but not really powerful for pulling loads.

That 2.2 engine of yodha is tuned for low end pickup, it is not exactly same as safari, it pumps out 250nm of torque while bolero pick up pumps only 200nm of torque, in hilly region, many people are using yodha because of larger loading capacity and strong pulling power. Bolero is weak compare to yodha.
@@STgauss3268 i knw exactly wat it is. Dnt argue bro. Im professional a mechanic n we run workshop since 62 n well known in our field. Bolero engine stroke is near 10-12mm longer stroke n almost 8-10 mm wider bore than 2.2l n i knw bolero engine is not as fast as 2.2 but way more powerful than tata 2.2l. Dnt argue with pros. Bolero has slower response but way more powerful on steep hills. Go to himachal or uttrakhand n see for urself which one rules on those mountains. N yes if it was tata's 3.0l engine i wudnt argue with u ĺ
@@amarpreetsingh2378 you talk about engine cc and pistons, while i talk about turbo, i also owned sumo gold with 3.0 dicor engine, i know these too, my family has safari too, i know the cc is less now in yodha which means stress to the engine (infact it's just slightly less than of bolero), but its got better fixed geometry turbo with advanced commonrail engine than bolero, it pumps 250nm at just 1000rpm same as previous 3.0 dicor engine, it has a wider torqueband than bolero. I am not arguing, i talk from experience. Come to NE India, all tata trucks from pick up to tipper rule the mountains and terrains here.
