This is part 1 of where I audit the city of Ashtabula. This video is a little boring, but I do promise to release both the good and bad. Part 2 will be a street audit where a guy, possibly mentally unstable, threatens me and another store owner defends me. Look forward to that!

All Americans should respect each others constitutional rights and hold government servants accountable at all times.
My goal is to educate everyone I come in contact with on our constitutional rights, starting with our 1st amendment in a peaceful way.
I am not seeking any reactions and simply want to exercise my rights as a normal citizen would, with a camera to document my experience.
Not everyone has to understand the need to film in public or agree with me, but this is one impactful way that will help to trigger conversations beyond what we can witness in these videos.
Below are some of the topics I want others to learn or fully understand.
#1 - ALL AMERICANS are the free press and we can film/record whatever we see.
#2 - ALL AMERICANS have the same rights and the government must be held accountable when violating rights.
#3 - ALL AMERICANS are subject to the laws only. No policy, executive order or feelings can deny our rights.
#4 - ALL AMERICANS no longer have privacy in public. Cameras are everywhere and we cannot expect others to go out of their way to make privacy for us when in public.
#5 - ALL AMERICANS have a right to be secure in their papers/identity from the government. We do not have to hand over ID without suspicion of a crime.
#6 - ALL AMERICANS can record government servants in the course of their duties. For the entirety of the business hours if we want.
#7 - ALL AMERICANS have access to public information and should regularly request that information from their local/state/federal governments to keep them transparent.
#8 - ALL AMERICANS have a right to film and exist in public without getting assaulted, harassed or intimidated. Regardless of how they look.
Like, share and subscribe! Help all good 1st amendment auditors spread the message and bring good education back to the free people of America.
NOTE: I am not advocating for call flooding, or any form of disruption to governmental services.
People should address their grievances, or make compliments, to let Our government know how they are performing.
That is the only way action will be taken for any change.

Poster 7 has not changed much over the years.
Round windows were COOL.
Always look for dedication plaque or cornerstone.
Auditors need to start filing FOIA requests for police liability insurance payments before and after large payouts.
Usually the post offices have the red, white, and blue NO TRESPASSING shields

I think libraries are starting to learn that filming in libraries is perfectly legal.

That empty lot between the Post Office and the Library is where my old high school and gym was located. Ashtabula High...class of 79...go Panthers!..makes me sad to see it.
The library looked completely different. They have added to it and changed the front. They did this after the high school was tore down. The property behind the library was the parking lot for students and staff.
Good to know. It looks beautiful inside and out. Love buildings with this level of detail.
The year of the Poster 7 was listed on its lower right corner, but I couldn't make it out.
It was partially hidden behind the plastic frame.

Parking lot of post office is pretty big.
Count security cameras outside and inside public buildings.

Anybody filming in post offices needs to get a copy of the two page training document produced by the USPS Postal Inspectors.
Have a copy ready to hand postal employees and police.

Anybody who audits is a hero in my books.
Every auditor will get arrested.
Practice these lines ahead of time outloud and be comfortable saying them:
1.
Am I being detained?
2.
I do not waive my 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights
3.
I am not resisting.
Say each multiple times at the appropriate time.
Take care. Have a security plan. Let someone know your plans.
Do not film on your primary phone. Phones and cameras are regularly seized and held for no reason other than to hassle the auditor. Any equipment seized by the popo may be infected with malware and tracking software.
Back up your videos off site.
We live and learn.
Have a lawyer lined up.
Watch lots of other experienced auditors.
Thanks! I have a 2nd active phone just in case and can easily replace as needed. All videos are auto uploaded to 2 different clouds and I've had to mentally prepare and practice for any officer interactions. Shouldn't have to, but it's not a perfect world.

Contact your local voting board and ask about filming in and near polling sites.
I already reached out to the Trumbull county board and they referenced the state laws for observers, not media. I will be visiting several polling locations on election day and will be reaching out to local police chiefs in advance for sure!

You need not have drama.
For the viewers who say you need to take the arrest: tell them to share their video and arrests.
Arrests and court cases can sometimes take years to rectify.
Do you have a lawyer?
I've contacted a few firms to be properly prepared. None have responded yet. I do have the USCCA if assaulted, but that doesn't apply to police if they just violate my rights.
Why do all of these auditors say it's unethical to record children. If any group of people needs to be educated about our rights, it's the children.
I know. Children are recorded in public just as much as adults. And their parents put them all over Facebook and Instagram.
You two make a fair point. I've stopped blurring them out and only blank out their names due to the UA-cam requirements.

You obviously went to UA-cam university. You realize that policies can be made in accordance with the law under the tenth amendment and the first amendment contains your civil LIBERTIES...not your civil rights and civil liberties are subject to restriction of time place and manner. Under the law. Meaning, YOUR FEELINGS, about that, don't matter. It is actually the law.
There is a time and place for civil disobedience. I do believe our rights and liberties are constantly under attack, but I'm not prepared to deal with the consequences on my own so I have to test the limits and try the complaint route if something needs fixed.

@@Ohio-Audits it’s. A. Library. This isn’t civil disobedience, this is stupidity. Libraries are not public forums and indeed have their own federal privacy standards to protect you and everyone else’s, information when it comes to what you read and check out at the library. You aren’t looking for tyranny, you are there for UA-cam. You want to test civil obedience, a library is a really ignorant way to do it and I don’t know if I would base your career on rouge nation considering he was convicted on federal charges but that’s on you.
