Not really true. Again stop letting media be your opinion. Harbaugh isn’t here because the position wasn’t open to interview the position wasn’t open because Poles went to bat for Eberflus to keep his job.
The power struggle and micromanaging from Upper Management has ALWAYS let me repeat ALWAYS been the downfall of the Bears. Knowing that Kevin Warren is micromanaging Ryan Poles and picking the head coach for him pisses me off. I'm so done being a bears fan.
they are going to do what the always do and hire yet another BETA male type head coach that is willing be used as a puppet to carry out their agenda. they are yet again going to micromanage the new head coach to another 5-12 record next year and then they are going to clean house and blame everything on everyone else instead of taking accountability.
First, whenever I speak about the organization, the leadership or hierarchy, the potential issues amongst upper mgt. it's always couched with "I don't know, but if" . That is my acknowledgement, that there's no way I can be certain. Here is what I do know. Warren is a big personality. He appears to have an ego. There is nothing about his background that suggests he should be directly involved in the decision of who would be the best coach for the Chicago Bears. Ryan Poles is the GM, coaching and player decisions are his direct responsibility. One thing is certain is that if it doesn't work, he'll lose his job over it. That's not the case with Warren, who as President can languish in the background for decades without any real accountability. We have experience with this as the last Bears president is a perfect example of it. Now Warren should be in purely a supportive and advisory type position here, not seen as the lead or on par with Poles. Should Warren be staying in his lane, well that's all well and good but the presser with Poles after firing Flu's didn't give that impression at all, If Warren is going to act as GM, then fire Poles and give him the title so he can be held accountable and if he is staying in his lane and doing all the right things, he needs to avoid making it look otherwise as it undermines Poles.
And all this typing just shows you actually don’t know much about the man’s background and was so triggered you didn’t even comprehend what was said in the episode. Hit dogs bark On top of that Poles is a first time GM technically Warren has spent more time in front offices of football teams than Poles and who said he needs to be making the decisions? This is where trying to leave a think piece before you make sure you comprehend what was said is key
@@ChiBearsCentral It's amazing what one can infer from the length of a post or any number of things. I actually for the 2nd time, as I wanted to be sure took a look at Warren's resume before responding to the video. Yes, he's worked in front offices, but always from a legal/administrative end. He was the Big 10 Commissioner as well and there is nothing in his background that lends itself to this kind of "leadership" in this aspect of the team (if that's what he's doing). He has no experience at player or coach evaluation. While Poles may not have the length of service overall in football front offices, his experience is geared for player and coach evaluation. He was also, ya know hired to do just that. Passing on the dogs bark opportunity as I'm not interested in trying to look good or even really win an argument here. The fact is we are both completely entitled to our takes and it's your channel. I happen to like a lot of your takes which is why I watch. I am saying that this particular call falls in Poles wheelhouse and if Warren is attempting to lead or impress his will here, then they should get rid of Poles and hold Warren accountable. I stress, the IF's here as only Warren, Poles and McCaskey know the real situation.
See this again is the difference between looking at a list of positions and researching what he’s done in those positions. You’re being lazy and this your analysis is half assed. Even if you just looking at a list say he’s been administrative (which you’d be wrong) that also includes being apart of decisions and on top of that that’s all he’s doing here so again I can tell you didn’t really watch the episode to comprehend you half asses it to respond. Do better
@@ChiBearsCentral Ok, so you say I'm wrong and he has apparently at some point in his career at least been involved in player and coach evaluations. Granted, you give no examples, but that's not your job. I'll take a look as it would be nice to dispel this concern. I will say of course he's been involved in decisions but that's a far cry from being responsible or leading those decisions, I'm not saying he should take no part in this decision, rather Poles clearly should head the search and make the final decision, Like I said in my original post, he should support and advise (meaning give his 2 cents). I wasn't in a rush to respond, for the sake of responding. I felt and still feel as of now It's a concern. However, you seem pretty convinced I missed something important so I'll take another look. Out of just respect for you and curiosity and just a desire to be as accurate as possible.
@@ChiBearsCentral Ok, first thing I did was re-watch the video in full. I heard the first time what you said about dysfunctional fandom, which is no doubt true to some extent for many. I happen to agree that it is his job to hold people accountable. That's never been in question. I heard you just as I heard him say it's Ryan's decision in the end and if that's true, that's great! However, he hedged it with he was sure Ryan and he would be in agreement which of course you'd hope would be the case, but does cast a shadow on Poles independence of choice. In fact, that whole presser and the way it was conducted gave an impression that Warren was in charge of this. That very well may not be the case, but I wasn't the only one who came to that conclusion and I watched the presser and came to that deduction on my own. So, then I reviewed Warrens past employment, again. 97' to 2001 hired by the rams for a legal/front office position, promoted the last year to vice president of football administration. This is his first venture into the league and while I'm sure he learned quite a bit about operations and admin, I do not see evaluation of coaches or players at any serious level happening here. However, Dick Vermeil hired him and had high praise for him, crediting him as a critical part of the super bowl champions. High praise indeed. Detroit lions 2001 to 2003 : Senior vp of business operation and general counsel. Again, nothing here to suggest any kind of history with player/coach evaluation. 2005 to 2019 Vikings : Executive vp of legal affairs and chief administrative officer. In 2015 he was named the COO and is credited with structurally resetting the organization, oversaw admin, finance, human resources, legal and marketing and construction of the new stadium, and practice facility. I think it's pretty clear he was focused on business operations and frankly, where he'd have had the time to develop significant abilities to evaluate players or coaches. I'm not going to go over his Big 10 or other experiences as they wouldn't offer anything in regards to player/coach evaluation. I will say he's obviously a leader and he's accomplished within his expertise. The praise by Vermeil is very positive in my eyes. While I have little doubt he's experienced some degree of ability to evaluate players, coaches to some degree... as let's face it, a big portion of his job is evaluating people and I guess in the end, that made me feel better about it combined with Vermeils praise. I guess what really matters is how he goes about doing whatever he's going to do and we'll just have to wait and see on that. Take what you will, Bear down!
I don't care what you say, Kevin Warren has no goddamn business being involved with picking a coach for the team. Than is not his job!!! That is a job for the GM in a teams make up and no one else unless the GM himself decides to expand his decision making to developing a search team. If he has a problem with Ryan Poles then he should fire him and hire a new GM and let that one pick the new coach to work with like it's supposed to be done. Warren has absolutely no business being involved at all.
@ It is not his job to pick a coach. That has always been the job of a GM. Why do you think there are constant reports about how the fact that Warren is involved with Pokes in search of a coach causing so many concerns around the league of such a dynamic with presently being practiced in the Bears hierarchy? Because that isn’t normal practice. The president of the team deals with the day to day operations of the teams overall function but not down in the barebones of the functions of the GM’s duties of overseeing the operations of team personnel which constitutes players, coaches trainers, scouts etc… Essentially putting a team together. Putting a team together has absolutely nothing to do with the job of team president. And you can’t show me any instance around the league where the team president is involved in putting together the teams personnel on a day to day basis. The ONLY instance where you might see something like that is in Dallas with Jones or Carolina with Tepper . Both unusually weird team dynamics.
I have no problem with Kevin stepping in. I just hope they are letting Poles do his job. He has one more year on his deal, so they are going to have to extend him or move on. No respectable HC is going to take this job with the GM future in doubt. Great video.

I got so many issues with Chicago fans ngl excluding Blackhawks and cubs fans I feel like everytime bulls and bears fans always complain just for no fucking reason complain Justin isn’t here complain that Caleb is a bust when he’s done a lot with a shit o line gosh it’s like these fans want to stay in Purgatory
Calm the frick down…you don’t know how bad it looked for Kevin to hold and dominate a press conference that was the GM’s job to do. Kevin should have let Poles take the lead and back him up!!!
Shut the fuck up. It only looked back to remedial ass people like you. When the ship is going down it's important for the entire front office to address the fans. Because the same people who say it looked bad would have been saying "why is Kevin Warren hiding during all this drama"
Thanks haize it's to much crying from fans
BEN JOHNSON DONT DESERVE 15 MILLION AS A FIRST YEAR HEAD COACH EVEN THO HE A GREAT OC IM THINKING BETWEEN 10 AND 12 MILLION
Our Bears Need to compete with the best teams in the NFL. We are the Chicago Bears one of the original founding members of the NFL therefore we need to get the best players and coaches. I don’t want sorry ass players on my Chicago Bears team go play for somebody else if you don’t want to play the game of football hard with all you got.
The McCaskeys care about NIL, NOT about the football! Ever since Halas died, been shit!
KW is why harbaugh is not here
Not really true. Again stop letting media be your opinion. Harbaugh isn’t here because the position wasn’t open to interview the position wasn’t open because Poles went to bat for Eberflus to keep his job.
George mckasky was the reason harbough never got an interview... Kevin Warren wasn't even there!!! Get your facts right
we need to rethink being Bears fans, this is a garbage fire of a team, its like the early covid years put into team form, it's gross.
You don’t know the definition of micromanaging bruh you’re just throwing out reactionary words.
💯🫡
*spends 15 minutes bitching about other people bitching* lol nice one m8
Spends time writing a comment that is reactionary dumb and shows a lack of 5th grade comprehension
😂😂😂
Hit dogs bark
On top of that Poles is a first time GM technically Warren has spent more time in front offices of football teams than Poles and who said he needs to be making the decisions?
I saw the dysfunction coming after the loss to the Colts. I tried to warn some folks. I was mocked for it. Go Bears 🐻 Tho
That literally is his job to oversee everything you would like an idiot
Everyone needs to work together to build the best team and organization in the NFL in all of sports
