African Americans should benefit from the abundance in Africa. The businesses and opportunities are there. The Europeans, the Chinese, the Indians the Arabs, the Turkish people, the Lebanese people, etc are all in Africa. African Americans should also come.

Coming to Ghana always opens up your eyes to know who you really are and also open your mind and why you eat certain foods, now you will understand why we are always persecuted because we are the strongest.

Had a similar experience some 20 years ago. As a new student from Africa in the USA, Tulsa OK. First time I entered Shiloh Baptist Church! Everyone looked like my brothers, sisters cousins, etc. Never left the church for the entire duration of my 8 - 9 years stay!

I think Jay is a VERY VERY brave man!
Think about it. A black American who sorjourned into the "unknown" that was West Africa, and navigated it, and made a monumental effort to learn its culture and history.
AND, managed to set up a tour operation!

It is so good to travel, but it is important for black Americans to travel to Africa to know where your ancestries came from. Africa is powerful. The feeling of being in Africa you can't experience it on any other continent. Don't believe the lies western media has portrayed Africa to be. #MotherAfrica

Thanks for doing what you do Jay. Ghana is a spiritual place for all Africans. The destiny is bigger than the people who live there and that is what all the Ghanaian leaders since Nkrumah have tried to share. It is a capsule of the African spirit, culture, and aspirations.

Jay, please can you try the Volta Region too? We have a lot of tourist sites and wonderful locals. We have the lowest point (Keta Lagoon) which has a lot of migratory birds at wintertime, the remains of a slave trading fort, the highest mountains, the highest human settlement, lush forest, coffee farms, a rich kente culture....You could also go up North to visit the Salaga slave market and the Mole National Park for a safari-like experience...
