So in reality, ken saying they're not gay doesn't confirm anything. It's the same concept as a gay male lyricist using female pronouns and "girl" because they don't want to be outed. So your disclaimer probably should have been "I don't actually know their sexualities" instead of "I know they are not gay" Yes I know i'm annoying.
