This video is not a substitute for medical advice, though it may help facilitate an open dialogue with your doctor. Never abruptly stop any psychiatric drug. Going off psychiatric medication should always be done under careful medical supervision. If you feel your health is being mismanaged, do not be afraid to seek out a different qualified professional.

The medical community, the pharmaceutical industry, avail the truth about these drugs. They are for profit. That is a very big profit year after year, decade, after decade, from the cradle to the grave! Pharmaceutical/psychotropics makers are like the drug cartels. The psychiatrist, and all that support them are the pushers. Parents, who are we. When do we begin to protect our children? Don’t trust the experts. Do your own deep research! Once you let your kid be put on a psycho tropic, it becomes a slippery slope, very fast, and almost impossible to climb out of!

@@yes55504 Yes they get people dependant on the drugs then claim that they are having a relapse of symptoms when they start feeling unwell, but really it's just the withdrawals from the drug that causes that effect. Just quit it altogether, you cannot thank yourself enough for that. Yes, the journey would be difficult. It would take 2-3 years to become 90-95% normal. But it’s totally worth. I have been weaning myself off of paroxetine for 5 years. Highest dose was 40mg, I’m currently at 5 mg. It has been a struggle. I have been on it for over 20 years. I have to be able to function, I have a full time job and I live alone. I tried cutting down to 2.5 mg, but I couldn’t handle that large a reduction, so I’m hanging at 5 for now, then I’ll step down to 4. I sure wish I’d never even started with antidepressants.

What you said is reported a lot with antidepressant withdrawal, and I had the same issue with Remeron.
Somewhere between 15-30 mg, I hit a brick wall and weaning off became next to impossible without experiencing severe dysphoria. The only way I was able to get off of it was to cross taper. Otherwise, it would’ve taken me 10 years completely get off.
Throughout the entire process I was in such pain and confused. My doctor was zero help, so I had no insightful support

I spoke with my local pharmacist, he said that ordering one bottle (he didn’t say what the quantity was) would cost $600, and my insurance would not cover that cost. When I was given my medication Clonazapam 23 years ago, the only side effect I was told about or read was may make you sleepy take with food. They didn’t have google to do research, my doctor told me it would be safe long term, I trusted him , but many years later I got tolerance withdrawal, I contacted my new psychiatrist as my old one who originally prescribed it had retired. She said he probably didn’t know the drug oiled be dangerous taking for as long as I have, they just now put different side effects on the paper they give you with your script, as I am slowly tapering still I had to get my refill and the side effects said, may cause sadness, depression, and fear, if that was on the side effects years ago when I picked up my first script of Clonazapam I absolutely would have never taken it. Who would take it. They changed the guidelines. Don’t ever blame a person for what you thought was safe given from your psychiatrist. We are already being tortured by withdrawal we shouldn’t blame ourselves. Go to a group on facebook about withdrawing from benzo, there’s a ton of them and they all say don’t blame yourself for something you didn’t know.

So a nice doctor came and prescribed paxil 20mg (2001) that i would take for the following 18 years. I wanted to stop in 2019 and did stop taking paxil after a short taper of a month. How i managed to stay of the shit and survived for the next 3 years is beyond my comprehension. On a genuine level SSRIs can save lives, the people in these comments don't really understand them very well clearly. I would strongly recommend seeing a psychiatrist by yourself and just tell him how you feel. If you do it by yourself for now it won't be that stressful, but as someone who's been to that place, there really is light on the other side. It just doesn't look like it and I don't blame you for seeing it that way, but it will get better if you go and accept professional help. The immediate release is great and you'll be feeling better in no time. Cut the dose gradually every week or two and you won't have any withdrawals and then you'll be completely off it with no problem.
