I like your realistic approach to grading. If that were in an antique mall they would label all these as "near mint". Of course, they also think a generic mid-2000's book is a "vintage collectible".
The ad in the front inside that comic that have yourself Christmas cards? Me and my brother sold those things out of the comic book When Your kids. And then the other ads in there for the grit I'm sure you've seen that one I sold grit for about a year and a half. LOL memories LOL every time I open a comic book LOL
I need to study and learn a little bit of grading because otherwise I'll be buying crappy books for too much money. Thanks for the advice and teaching.
I heard on another Channel there's some kind of paper you can put in there with him to offset the gases from the wood pulp made in the paper. I think if I remember right that's what he said?

That fight comments got some really good color inside. Looks better than some of the silver ages I've seen on the inside.
Always coolest. Getting some big books this week from CGC walkthru. I don't let myself look at the grades
Good luck 👍
Looking forward to part 2.
whoever created the 1.8 is thrilled you used it
Lol. In the golden age I come across quite a few 1.8s. It’s definitely put to use there quite a bit.
Great Job great video. I in my head graded them with you to see where I am at and at least I was close and even spot on.
Good Video...thanks Ryan!
Good info, thanks.
amazing opening page on the Fight one.
The interior has Matt Baker art, he might have been the one that did that one. I’d have to check.

Interesting stuff. I did not know that a detached cover could still garner a 3.0 provided the rest of the book is in good shape.
The colors look great on that captain marvel, too bad about the tearing.
Sadly a common thing on those square bounds.
I bought myself a Flash comic issue 66 for 500$ from a government auction in pretty good condition, do you think it was worth it?

Hope these help 👍
Thanks again...
Great content as always. I’m really interested in your thoughts on how a dust shadow impacts the grade of Golden Age books. Thanks.

Yes it’s called chamber paper. CGC and cbcs put it in the book before they slab them in the case.
Enjoyed the video and found it useful, however would love to have seen a higher grade book to see what qualifies as such
I’ve done other grading videos if you check out my grading playlist. Some of them have higher grade books in them.
Do you get them pressed and cleaned when they're that old if they're not all wrinkly or anything?
If I’m going to get them graded, yes, always.
