Sega Saturn does not read discs!

- I was pretty excited when I bought a Sega Saturn from a local used video game store, until I got home and this happened...apparently this is a common problem, though I'd rather be playing it than soldering the inside after cracking it open to replace a failed part. Sega you failed me!

Try wiping the laser lens with a soft cleaning cloth and make sure your discs aren't too dirty or scratched up. Also make sure the disc hub isn't sitting too low, which is a common problem after decades of repeatedly inserting discs and pressing down on the hub. Though it sounds like the laser is the issue. You can adjust the intensity of the laser by very slightly turning the orange screw; clockwise for more power, counter-clockwise for less. Adjust it little by little until it can read discs.
Failing that you can buy a brand new replacement laser (JVC Optima 6 or 6S). It just plugs into a flat cable and slips onto a metal rod. There's no soldering needed to replace the laser, but brand new lasers usually ship with an anti-static solder blob that you need to desolder.
I habe the Problem That the Disc is sitting too low, i turn the orange Screw but ist doesnt work. What Can i do to fix?

BOIII3 Productions Especially one that has spent its entire life in Japan. The Japanese take care of their stuff.
Sometimes the laser just die. My Saturn looks brand new inside and out been well taken care of and still died.
Also...I've seen a lot of beat to shit Saturn's for sale in shops in Japan....so that's not always the case.
