Better is relative, I like them both the same and they compliment each other really well. Alert has a little more torque so it's a little earlier and rounder, P3 is the same general shape but longer and sharper, I use them both a lot.
During league on THS, where do you see using this ball, on the fresh or during transition? Right now I’m using and getting a pretty good look with my pin down Soniq on the fresh. Very smooth and controllable.
skf boiler Depends on how heavy/long the pattern is, but I’ll be able to play it on the fresh on everything I bowl on. Now I may not want to be in the zone of the lane it wants me to be in at that point in transition . . meaning I may not want to start my night at 3rd or 4th arrow, but I’ll definitely play on the fresh if that’s what you want to do in my opinion

Hi Luke. Great video. I'm building my arsenal. I have All road and Soniq... So I would like to get a new ball, what do you recommend: hy road original or phaze III? Thanks in advance.
Probably Hyroad, there's a LITTLE overlap with the P3 and Son!Q, Son!Q is earlier and smoother, but there's a lot of difference between the Hyroad and All Road.
Ok I know old video but this the ball I currently have I never if I have drilled right um but 2 questions since I have a phase 3 should I get a phase 2 and do you know a good pro shop in the tampa Florida area that I should go to get a ball???
Yeah, the P2 and P3 kind of roll the same, but the P2 is a lot earlier and smoother, definite compliments but zero overlap. I have a buddy in Tampa, I'll ask him and get back to you.
@@LukeRosdahl oh sweet I am in need of a good pro shop to fix two of my balls so that would be epic omg thank you so much for all your info and reviews
Agree this ball looks great, but so does the MVP Pearl. Brighter colors have never kept me from seeing the ball roll. Different strokes?? One thing that's for sure is that the Phaze III smells better. ;-)
What are your specs, PAP, axis tilt, rev rate, speed and rotation. I would like to convert your layouts to degree layouts. So I can compare the layouts and my specs. I know I can use these and then convert it to degree using my specs. Just wanted to see what they are using your specs.
@@jackolson6479 ua-cam.com/video/I5PsuQzNj_A/v-deo.html That's a lot more than I saw with Belmo using it. I know one of his televised 300s, on the other hand, was with a Roto Grip Critical Theory.

Fluffyguy958 Yeah. I like factory shine but it’s probably a good idea for most people to knock the shine off. Tamer is going to do a surface comparison video on it I think
@@LukeRosdahl ok thanks dude. Seriously looking at this ball but I already have a black widow pink and that thing CRANKS off the dry. It's too much most of the time. Probably since its asymmetric.
@@LukeRosdahl he actually just uploaded it and now I'm basically down to deciding between all road and phaze 3. Thanks for always putting out great content dude.
Better is relative . . it's all based on what the lane conditions are doing. Either one can be amazing or awful depending on what the lanes are doing. It's like saying what's better, an 8 iron or a 5 iron?
@@LukeRosdahl Well these two are basically the same ball, so I was wondering if overall on their best performing lane conditions if the phaze III is an actual improvement over the II
What? They’re not basically the same ball at all . . same core but wildly different covers. Phaze 2 is earlier and smoother and the Phaze 3 is quite a bit longer and much stronger on the backend.
It’s got a good amount of length and shape for a solid, sure, and a house shot is going to minimize some differences, but I’m still not sure how you could ever say that a sanded solid is virtually the same ball as a shiny hybrid with a different cover formula . . that’s why they make balls in the same line with different cover types. Might as well say the IQ Tour and IQ Emerald are the same ball, or all the Hyroads are the same or the PhysiX and Astro are the same . . and making “virtually the same ball” over and over again wouldn’t make any sense for the company
How does this ball compare to the iq tour fusion? It's one of my favorite balls that I have ever bought and one of the only ones that is consistent for me bowling at my towns bowling alley which still has wood lanes. So I was wondering is I'd be able to drill it the same way and hopefully see the same results if not better.
Quite a bit different, it's a lot stronger both overall and on the backend. You'd definitely like the results, but it's not super close to the Fusion in terms of like a direct replacement.
They're similar but kind of opposite lol . . both have clean covers with a quick friction response, however the MVP Pearl rolls quite a bit heavier and slows down a lot faster, the Phaze 3 zips through the front part of the lane and almost seems to accelerate on the backend. Some very similar attributes and some pretty different ones. Nice 1-2 combo on a house shot though.
@@LukeRosdahl currently using a Wrecker with good results. THS with strong backends. Anything too long will 2-8-10. Sounds like the MVP Pearl might be a good replacement. Thanks
@@LukeRosdahl About that 1-2 combo on a house shot (in my case, on wood lanes)... I'm a lefty who usually doesn't have to move around much. My plan is to start with the Phaze 3, then shift to the MVP Pearl if the breakdown or carrydown is problematic. Good strategy, or no?
@@conniemilhollon7472 No, she's not terribly interested in that one, so likely will not be getting it. Yeah . . P3 definitely fits my game and my eye for ball motion better. I LIKE the MVP Pearl, but honestly I'd never use it if this was an option, despite being fairly different reactions in certain ways.
This is ball looks soooooo good. Can’t wait to get one.
Got 802 with mine today! Love this beast!
Definitely have to add this with my emerald and halo vision. Now im gonna need a bigger ball bag also.
I am going to a ball Demo on the 7th of December and I cant wait to give this ball a try!
Awesome! Yeah it's just too much fun!
👏👏👏
I went to a ball demo day got to throw this ball now I can’t wait for December 13th so I can get this
What do you think is better? Phase 3 or the UFO Alert?

would love to see a side by side with a pink widow .
I'm a Storm/Roto staffer, so not a possibility, sorry! Maybe ask Tamer Bowling?? He could at least give you a solid comparison.
I commented on every one of Luke's Phaze 3 videos. Now I'm worried he's going to ban me from UA-cam, Discord, and possibly planet Earth.
I hear Mars is nice this time of year.
This is my goto ball for house shot. If I can get it to the spot, it carries every time.

Cvette2004 5 1/2 over, 3/4 up, 7 degrees tilt, 450 revs, 17mph, 40 degree angle of rotation
