Just returned from a trip to Iraq with my Wife. Such an incredible country, we were made so incredibly welcome. The Baghdad to Basra train was such an adventure, loved it. Anyone considering a trip should go, no security concerns and such an easy visa on arrival process.
Doug's honestly such a wonderful person , we don't know him personally but his reaction to the martyrs mother shows what kind of guy he is. That's why i think Doug genuinely has some go the best content out there, he's not just vlogging and making some tacky video for views but actually connecting with people and showing the other side of thing. Iraqis who have suffered so much for years are so friendly to foreigners is a credit to them. It's most unfortunate that our media portrays these hospitable people in such a bad light. I have decided to visit the country in next three months during their winter. I have travelled extensively in the east and almost all the markets sell cheap Chinese goods but Iraqi markets had their locally crafted souvenirs, a credit to them.
