I have one of these and it’s scary how fast it can grow with proper conditions. I put it outside in spring and summer and it absolutely explodes with growth. I’ve only had it for 8 months to a year but it’s truly amazing how fast it grows. It’s actually in need of a solution of its vines.
Just repotted mine today and you uploaded! Mine was struggling in the nursery pot,the soil all got washed away over time I think and it was always looking wrinkled, hope it makes a comeback now 🌿
I love your posts! This was my first Hoya one year ago when my plant addiction began. I have it in my north patio window in very indirect light, and it’s loving it! I am going to add a trellis because right now it is tangling itself among all the other plants...it’s actually fun to watch! I live in Northern Alberta, Canada, and went from 2 indoor plants last June to 32 today! Yikes, I haven’t counted them lately...all I have is north exposure, and all my plants love it! Thanks again! And I’m ordering your How to Make a Plant Love You book today! 😎💕
Hello from Ontario! I have mine outside in summer on south facing deck, receives about 3-4 hours of morning sun.. lots of nee growth. I have in terracotta pot and find it doesn’t stay moist for long. Also my leaves get soft and wrinkled towards the bottom so do you think I should water sometimes more than once a week? I’m afraid to over water this. Have had it for about 6 weeks and looks lush and healthy I’d like to keep it this way! 😊
i dont have good luck with hoyas unless i grow them in water, or i put them in the south window away from the window, hanging, they tend to shrivel and die on me if i move them, they hate it, other than into water
Hi Summer- thank you for all your videos, they have helped me so much. AQuestion about this type of Hoya. I received a cutting about 3 1/2 years ago and it has been in the same pot with a cool manzanita branch to wind on. Because of an accident today, it had to be repotted, I unwound the 3 main plants (I put 3 cuttings in 1 pot) and each one was literally 12 to 15 feet long, my question is, should I cut them to a shorter length? There are about 10 to 12 inches between the leaves or should I just attach it all to a new climbing trellis. Unfortunately, the pot and the branch were shattered after being knocked off the shelf. I clipped the trailing to a metal trellis for now. Thank you
So.. can this hoya do well in a shallow pot..like the one you have it in? Or does it require a deeper pot? My other Hoyas are in small terra cotta 4.5in pots
Because hoyas respond good to pruning by getting bushier on their lower area, and propagate is necessary in case you lose one specimen, you get another one. In few years, bushier pots in different rooms of the house will look great.
If my hoya is overwatered and my little brother dumped a bunch of popcorn seasoning into the soil, should I repot? I heard hoya have sensitive roots And dont like to be repotted
Thank you for the information. Please please please, stop saying the words: actually, so, um, but, and uh...... I have watched several of your videos and I have a hard time getting through them because of how distracting the repeating of those words becomes. Sorry if my words sound harsh. Listen to your videos.
I have one as well, I think it was labelled 'Speckled', and even if it doesn't bloom, the foliage more than makes up for it. It's a beautiful plant.

Great video. We don't own one, but we will keep an eye out for it. 💚
Is Orchid mix an ok medium to plant them in?

Nice one, I think that plant would look good if it could be encouraged to grow in a more bushy, compact sort of way. Pretty leaves regardless though.
Got my first Pubicalyx i hope it grow well, by the way im from Philippines
Pink silver or Royal purple? I have a cutting of pink silver - will the flowers be pink?
Very pretty plant. Love the leaves🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿

Is there a site to go to to find out which pubicalyx you really have once it flowers?🙂

Nice video! I need to get one.
How often will this plant flower?
I have a Hoya Krimson Princess currently I’m a west window and receiving direct light. What type of lighting would you suggest for her?
I have mine in a SW window and it loves it! I would leave it where you have it unless it starts to show signs of stress.
Why are the leaves soft and wrinkly?
Sounds like it's thirsty?
What’s the reason you have the same plant growing in different rooms in your apartment instead of plant all the cuttings of the same plant in one pot?
Gio Olla I believe Summer said she likes to experiment and see how the same plants sound in different light conditions.

She's dropping leaves though, and a few on one strand are soft and a bit wrinkled from sun burn;(
You probably should because every time you water it now, you’ll be feeding whatever is in that seasoning and that might kill your plant.
I have my hoyas in a bathroom south window( I live in Canada, Ontario) is that bad for them you think?
shannon carr no
Love 😊
"actually"
