B R well in one of the bleach light novels, I heard there was a previous zaraki that was really weak without his bankai, so much do that even someone in rukongai could kill him. With his bankai he was super powerful. Not saying chojiro would be as strong as that previous captain, but he could still be up there.
The close up part literally broke me. It was such a weird thing that he flip flopped between being a total jobber to suddenly he's a credible threat, only for nothing really to happen with him,
Yay! My favorite former Bleach reviewer is reviewing Bleach stuff again! Chojiro really got shafted in the series. Such a cool Zanpakuto and Bankai wasted on a character who didn't appear hardly ever
I really loved Chojiro. He always looked to me like someone who Byakuya would become after gaining wisdom. But no. He was a secretary with apparently a really strong Bankai that we've never fully seen. Great
I still can’t get over the fact Chojiro got killed off the way he did and we only find out after he died just how powerful he really was. Anyone else feel the same?
I always thought a lieutenant to the captain commander would be captain level in strength, at least someone serving as YAMAMOTO’s right hand. To be taken out so easily by Ichigo severely undermined his worth. I understand Kubo wanted to just get to the main event (probably fatigued by the sheer length of the Soul Society arc), but Kubo could’ve found a more reasonable way to take Chojiro off the table.
Tekking I miss you dude! Lol I’ve been watching you since before bleach ended and love your style of videos! Have you heard of tower of god? There are no style videos like these for that series and it’s just as amazing!

Chojiro is the Yamcha of the Gotei-13. He's the guy that would have gotten drawn against Roshi, Tien or Piccolo back in the original Dragonball, bragged about all of his training and titles, and then speared his junk attempting something fancy whilst the crowd and love interest look on with shame. You may think this unfair, I think however that the moment you get one-shotted by an unarmed schoolboy in his base form is the moment that you earn this title.
Oh bro, he is not yamcha, That scene was not in manga and Chojiro is one of stronges before tybw as you said ichigo was a highscooler why wpuld he expec him to be strong, He was 1000 old and has maatered bankai long ago, He was right behind kyoraku and unohana
That sounded like a challenge Tekking, i dare you to find enough to talk about with Kyugohanin to fill at least 15 minutes focussed specifically on that character. Will you be capable of that with your talents?
Are we all forgetting chojiro should have been able to sense his spiritual pressure thus having a idea of how strong ichigo would be. KUBO did chojiro so fuckin dirty man
hey tekking, when you get around to Nanao you should talk about how Captain Kyoraku sheltered her so much that she was overwhelmed whenever she tried to fight. I don't think a lot of people understood that part of her character.

I do like Chojuro. And Rangiku. And even Isane, as far as lieutenants go. And as far as other underrated Bleach characters go, I'd love to hear what you'd do differently with Chad.
Something that irks me about Chojiro's death is that... you aren't even sad about Chojiro himself dying. You're sad because of how it affects Yamamoto. Yama's sad, so, we're sad for him.
Tekking you have now become my favorite weebo UA-camr, in place of SwagKage, you’ve earned my love, respect, and likes for all your future vids. Your nerdyness and how you genuinely and confidently show it is sick. Much respect, keep it up Playboy.
Tekking is how I get my information on bleach characters and i have been waiting for more information on this guy forever. It's that time finally. Thank you tekking. He's probably the most mysterious captain in ability and skill plus power.
I like how Sasakibe is sort of crucial despite the little he does; and again I sort of like the London concept may eventually connect to Burn the Witch/Wing Bind.
I guess he felt the moment to fight and use his Bankai was when his lower squad members were being killed at a ridiculous rate. He is probably a person who defends those under him more than someone who fights beside people of equal (or greater) power.
I remember when I was first watching the soul society arc that I was thinking he is beautiful and that he stands out because of that white cloak and that he was the strongest lieutenant and being excited for him to get a fight, well he didn't get the fight, but I do think he kinda stand out he got that pretty hair and mustache and the white cloak he's personality is the part where he gets transparent
I've always honestly wanted to see marechiyo omaedas' bankai. Hes a coward but not weak. I could imagine his bankai being like sajin komamuras'! I'm sure he has one! Him and yumichika ayasegawa! I think his bankai would be scary as all hell.
Chojiro: Spends hundred of years perfecting his Bankai but never uses it in battle. Also Chojiro: Uses Bankai in an actual fight finally only to have it immediately stolen. I swear Kubo hated this character with a passion.
Sasakibe was one of my fav. when I started Bleach just because of his Shikai char-design... I hope his character gets some more love in the Anime adaptation
The thing that excites me most about the anime returning is the potential that we might see scenes that weren’t shown in the manga like that fight btw yamamoto and chojiro and see the full power of his zanpakto. I hope they can also do something similar for Ukitake and Shuhei
When I saw Chojiro die I was like, so that was his purpose, tbh Chojiro, Iba or Omaeda could die at the same time and probably no one would care about them
I'm hoping we get the 1st episode about him and his day and us getting to know him with the Sternritter attacking at the end of the episode so we can get to know him better
I think he was instructed by the commander to do stuff and he follows it to the letter. One moment for Chojiro use his Bankai: When Captain Commander will say so... or if he is dying. :D
A rapier is primarily a stabbing/piercing weapon, used with a fencing style of combat. Though they usually have a blade, due to how thin the profile is, slashing isn't recommended as a main form of attack since they may break easy.
Tbh I liked how Chojiro was handled for the most part. His actions and lack of use makes sense in the story and with his personality. I just wish we could have seen him fight the Quincy with his Shikai, then get that chapter about his past as a flashback just before he uses Bankai and subsequently dies. Maybe not even show him use Bankai as it likely got immediately stolen. Just have him go "Bankai" then the next we see of him is when he's hurled into Yamamoto's room on the javelin
The most overpowered shinigami who got treated like Chad. (I say that as he technically should be captain level and not just a normal captain but the captains from the older generation which is known as the strongest generation. He mastered his bankai, which is something captains like Iba at the end of the series and even toshiro to an extent havent done. And was even able to damage Yamamoto as well as impress him which isn't exactly the easiest to do.)

@@br5073 Fair enough. But also in fairness Kubo did kinda seem to retcon him. A lot of characters were stronger than they revealed in The Soul Society Arc. For example, we now know that if Ikkaku wanted he could’ve killed Ichigo if he had resorted to using his bankai but he hates to use it.
B R well in one of the bleach light novels, I heard there was a previous zaraki that was really weak without his bankai, so much do that even someone in rukongai could kill him. With his bankai he was super powerful. Not saying chojiro would be as strong as that previous captain, but he could still be up there.
Gotta love how this was longer than the Ryujin Jakka video
Do you think if there's an American version of the Soul Society, one of their Soul Reapers is a major samurai otaku as a contrast to Chojiro?
I mean, Burn the Witch is set in the "Western Branch", but afaik there is no "major samurai otaku" there.
@@Timjer92 yeah but that’s the the uk not the us the cultures are vastly different
Ah yes, the "Wester Branch" where people run around shooting all their problems while screaming anime attacks
@@goggles8691 Really though... I want that so bad.
@@goggles8691 So, basically what the series would have been like if Kubo stuck to calling it Snipe?
The close up part literally broke me. It was such a weird thing that he flip flopped between being a total jobber to suddenly he's a credible threat, only for nothing really to happen with him,
I’d like to think that after his death he was reincarnated into Mr Gentleman in MHA
Yay! My favorite former Bleach reviewer is reviewing Bleach stuff again!
Chojiro really got shafted in the series. Such a cool Zanpakuto and Bankai wasted on a character who didn't appear hardly ever
YES MORE BLEACHHHH ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You should talk about ikkaku since he is now a lieutenant
I really loved Chojiro.
He always looked to me like someone who Byakuya would become after gaining wisdom.
But no. He was a secretary with apparently a really strong Bankai that we've never fully seen. Great
Chojiro was so broken that Aizen immediately used his Kyokasuigetsu to create a virtual reality instead of just facing him like the rest of the Gotei.
I still can’t get over the fact Chojiro got killed off the way he did and we only find out after he died just how powerful he really was.
Anyone else feel the same?
Dude If I see Yamamoto vs Chojiro when he first got his bankai when the anime comes out, I'd cry. Please Filler Gods, hear my prayer.
Let hope the anime expand on Chojiro a bit more. At least Brave Souls gave us a special to see it.
"They're down to about half their number! They've gotta bring every available soldier to this fight!"
Random Gotei Shinigami Leader: "Bring everybody we can get"
Subordinate Shinigami: "Everybody?"
Leader: "Everybody."
Subordinate: "Even the fodder?"
Leader: "..... everybody..."
Oh bro, he is not yamcha, That scene was not in manga and Chojiro is one of stronges before tybw
as you said ichigo was a highscooler why wpuld he expec him to be strong, He was 1000 old and has maatered bankai long ago, He was right behind kyoraku and unohana
That sounded like a challenge Tekking, i dare you to find enough to talk about with Kyugohanin to fill at least 15 minutes focussed specifically on that character. Will you be capable of that with your talents?
Yeah remember that time when ichigo one hit KOed a captain level with his FIST!!!?
Yea classic case of a background character the writer didnt really care about and just used as a plot device to show how strong the opponents were
@@jlogan2228 Why woul chojiro expec a kid to be that powerfu, He was caught off guard
Are we all forgetting chojiro should have been able to sense his spiritual pressure thus having a idea of how strong ichigo would be. KUBO did chojiro so fuckin dirty man
Oh yeah. That guy. He's there. Nice mustache
hey tekking, when you get around to Nanao you should talk about how Captain Kyoraku sheltered her so much that she was overwhelmed whenever she tried to fight. I don't think a lot of people understood that part of her character.
Finally talking about the right hand man of the soul society. Chojuro is probably one of the underrated character in bleach. Needed more screen time.
Wassup Tekking hows your day been?
I just wanted to say that you're show is awesome! I became a fan of Bleach 3 years ago. I was laid up because of a surgery and my best friends cousin came over and let me borrow the Anime. I couldn't stop watching! Which lead me to read the final arc. You are so awesome at this! Keep it up! ...... hell I even started watching One Piece because of your channel! You rock man!
I really wanted to read more about him in the manga. Interesting character with a bad@$$ zanpakutou who is sadly underrated.
Tekking you have now become my favorite weebo UA-camr, in place of SwagKage, you’ve earned my love, respect, and likes for all your future vids. Your nerdyness and how you genuinely and confidently show it is sick. Much respect, keep it up Playboy.
Last time I was this early Chojiro was still alive
0:59 Tell me, Tekking, who consistently watches your bleach content expecting short videos
Unohana looking at Isane getting wrecked: OOF
I love how to add play immediately when he was asking about what he was doing outside the barrier
# The way Tekking said “Get over here” sounded like Scorpion! Bruh that’s why I’ m a fan!
In brave souls we actually have a Chojiro now that uses his Bankai
I guess he felt the moment to fight and use his Bankai was when his lower squad members were being killed at a ridiculous rate.
He is probably a person who defends those under him more than someone who fights beside people of equal (or greater) power.
I remember when I was first watching the soul society arc that I was thinking he is beautiful and that he stands out because of that white cloak and that he was the strongest lieutenant and being excited for him to get a fight, well he didn't get the fight, but I do think he kinda stand out he got that pretty hair and mustache and the white cloak he's personality is the part where he gets transparent
5:13 Rolling On the Floor, LAUGHING MY ASS OFF!!!!
I've always honestly wanted to see marechiyo omaedas' bankai. Hes a coward but not weak. I could imagine his bankai being like sajin komamuras'! I'm sure he has one! Him and yumichika ayasegawa! I think his bankai would be scary as all hell.
That’s a cool sword in the background tekking.
Chojiro: Spends hundred of years perfecting his Bankai but never uses it in battle.
Also Chojiro: Uses Bankai in an actual fight finally only to have it immediately stolen.
I swear Kubo hated this character with a passion.
This guy looks like the classmate that tells the teacher that you and your friends smoked a cigarette behind the school.
Sasakibe was one of my fav. when I started Bleach just because of his Shikai char-design...
I hope his character gets some more love in the Anime adaptation
Chojiro is the original Tuxedo Mask confirmed
Bleach has 3 characters that didn't got justice/chance
Chojiro
Iba
Chad
About friggin' time, I've been waiting over a year for this one!
The thing that excites me most about the anime returning is the potential that we might see scenes that weren’t shown in the manga like that fight btw yamamoto and chojiro and see the full power of his zanpakto.
I hope they can also do something similar for Ukitake and Shuhei
2:18 I remember this scene. Ichigo was handing out L's like Oprah Winfrey giving away free cars
This guy makes Chojiro seem super awesome.
When I saw Chojiro die I was like, so that was his purpose, tbh Chojiro, Iba or Omaeda could die at the same time and probably no one would care about them
I'm of the theory that the sokyoku used to be someone's zanpakuto and that it was somehow extracted when that shinigami was just too damn powerful
A fifteen minute vid on kokichiro takezoe: seventh seat of the tenth division
how many sword replicas do you have? if you have a lot, you should make a video showcasing every sword replica you have, that video would be SO cool!
Most underrated character in bleach
I’ve been waiting so long for this video.
I'm hoping we get the 1st episode about him and his day and us getting to know him with the Sternritter attacking at the end of the episode so we can get to know him better
in the group of the first 100
I really hope the anime gives him a brief battle with Driscoll when it comes back!
Yes they should at least show chojiro showing his skills , also tommo I hope you do a collab with tekking someday .
Hope you can do a collab with jaymes yo
38:10 aah an armpit sniffer, I knew that mustache had to be a sign of culture
I stopped watching bleach after the bouncy arc. Didn’t knew that was just shitty filler. UA-cam like him made me fall in love with bleach again.
Got to love when anime catches up to the manga and it's an anime that takes no breaks to filler forever
My favorite character in all of bleach
Wow, first one here? My favorite Lieutenant in the Gotei ❤️
HOW!?!?
I think he was instructed by the commander to do stuff and he follows it to the letter.
One moment for Chojiro use his Bankai: When Captain Commander will say so... or if he is dying. :D
The title of this video should of been the most badass character you never got see see fight.
A rapier is primarily a stabbing/piercing weapon, used with a fencing style of combat. Though they usually have a blade, due to how thin the profile is, slashing isn't recommended as a main form of attack since they may break easy.
There is also an omake where Kempachi is taking a bath and Sasakibe recoments some special Shampoo that makes Kempachi's hair very lanky
Chojiro looking through his manga/anime appearances summed up in one quote
“LOOK Gary THERE I AM!!!”
I love how tekking can carry on for 20 minutes after he gets to the death of the character
This series on the Lieutenants really does make me want to watch bleach all the way through
I'm loving the influx of Naruto & Bleach content, feels like the good old days
Chojiro: I wanna. Should I.
Yama: you shouldn't, but if you must.
