To me average listeners gravitate to what's popular not musical. Norfolk has songs like that but there was a more important assignment at hand than blunt blowing and hood classics that day. You know people like what they like. Had you been there KB you might would have had a difference of opinion. Both bands were good though. Norfolk had more intensity ASU took them lightly because they were a little smaller than ASU and the fact that Norfolk represents the MEAC. Even ASU alum and current band students agreed that Norfolk prevailed. But hey it's all in the opinion of the listener. Good job my brother keep up the good work. Why am I not surprised that he would give it to Alabama State. Folks are so worried about song, selection, rather than execution, dynamics, contrast any of that… Alabama state sounded like trash compared to Norfolk State, and then you could go look at any video Norfolk state had far more crowd reaction in the first round.
