For example, ammo differs, e.g. SA howitzers G5/6 (NATO 155mm) (Russia152mm), SA IFV guns (NATO 20mm) (Russia 23mm), SA small arms R4/5 (NATO 5.56mm) (Russia (AK57 or AK74) 7.62mm), etc, etc. The 'small' ship surely also couldn't have loaded any serviceable or mothballed Swedish Gripon JS39's, British Hawk trainers, Italian Agusta helicopters, old modified French helicopters, any of 7 SA's old Rooivalk helicopters; all of which Russians could neither maintain nor fly nor any of SA's NATO spec AA missiles Russia can't fit to their aircraft?

The proper Diplomatic protocol is to summon the ambassador to Union buildings, in the presence of the president and Minister of foreign affairs in order for him to explain himself. If he fails to satisfactorily justify his utterances, then expel him. These reckless statements will only lead to SA getting sanctioned. American protects it's own whether they're right or wrong...

There are over 200 US multinationals in S Africa and 1 Russian one. There is the ALGOA agreement at stake that will cause job losses here if cancelled. I don't like Julius and I disagree strongly with some of the stuff he says. But what I like about him is that he is straight to the point and let's you know where you stand. Not only this but I can tell that he genuinely cares for South Africa, or at least more than the ruling party post apartheid did. This alone makes him a better leader of the country than Ramaphosa. There has been no transparency in government and look where that's led us.
That said, Malema is radical. I believe that if he were to be president he would pull a Mao Zedong and mess with numerous preestablished systems all at once which would cause chaos and confusion
I must say that Malema was straight forward and to the point in this media briefing. I'm not sure why reporters get confused. Malema is saying it live to them and they get the opportunity to ask questions, and yet some of them still try and twist his words or spell it out differently to what he said. .

For example, the SA HIV|AIDs program is supported by the US and SA has 400 billion dollars worth of trade with the US. The impact of the resultant diplomatic fall out with the USA that would follow the expulsion of the US ambassador is not worth it. He has not overthrown the government or called for an attack on the nation.
