Real beneficiary of Indo-Pak stand-off in cricket will be Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Post 2028 when all cricketing stadiums are ready in Saudia and KSA is in a position to organize its own T20 leauge then those who are not aligned with the BCCI ecosystem will find refuge in the Saudia cricketing ecosystem.
Nothing will change in 2028 unless native Saudi Arabians starts playing cricket and thats highly unlikely. Footballers are massively paid in KSA leagues because they have local football fans where as cricket will remain just expats sport. Kinda similar for Soccer Leagues in states, still rely heavily on expats from Mexicans Middle Eastern and South Americans, hardly any local Americans watches it.
The main important reason they don’t talk about, why Pak govt supporting terrorists, training them, arming them and sending them to India to kill Indian soldiers? Why not ask the Pak govt to stop doing these? Why only blaming India when the fault is with the Pak govt?
If the B.C.C.I. are unable to get clearance from their Government for the Indian team to tour Pakistan, then the I.C.C. should consider sending another team to replace India. There's no point accommodating someone who does not want be accommodated in your home ( particularly when you've honoured them by visiting them in their home). The P. C. B. should have enough cash reserves to cope with such a non-attendance. The Indian players have little or no influence in such decision making. Despite what the Indian Government and their supporters like to portray , the popularity & respect of the Indian players in Pakistan amongst the cricketing public is very real. But what is also very real, is that historically both the Indians and Pakistani players were better players of spin when they did actually play Test matches against each other (with that learning came high levels of learning under intense pressure from their respective publics ). India's recent reversal in a home Test series against New Zealand is a warning and a wake up call for the B.C.C.I and to those who's bigotry ideas are stopping from the players competing against each other. It's unbelievable that someone as good as Virat Kolhi can give so much pride and happiness to Indian cricket and to India for so long and and yet end up never having played a single Test match against Pakistan. In comparison the great Sunil Gavaskar played around 24 Test matches against Pakistan and just how good a players was he ?
Dude this tournament was allotted to Pakistan some three or four years back and what did you do in between these years to convince India that it is safe to travel to Pakistan except for somehow hosting all other foreign teams and PSL attended by retired foreign players but India still did not travel to Pakistan, right. So you didn't do anything literally politically and militarily or tactically to address India-specific terror risks, just nothing. No Zarb-e-Azb, nor any other operation were carried out against India specific terror organisations based in Pakistan like against HuL, JeM and LeT. Over and above that you still don't have your ambassador in India and have downgraded all relations including trade, people contact, banned bollywood movies etc. Your whole point is if the White skinned nations can travel to Pakistan so automatically India will be forced to travel. But that is not the case, Indians have genuine threats from the terrorists who you support, harbour and sponsor against India. Till you do this it is morally and ethically wrong for the Govt of India and to Indian people to play cricket with you when our soldiers are constantly fighting against terror you sponsor. This isn't just right and none of the other cricketing nations except Afghanistan face this problem from you. So don't compare other nations coming to Pakistan with India.
As an Indian, I agree with most of your points. I'm sympathetic towards Pakistani fans, I think they deserve to have a tournament hosted once it's been allocated to them. I also think India should forfeit their games instead of trying to play them outside of Pakistan. There are a couple of points though: 1. BCCI could not have objected earlier to travel cause it's not their decision, it's Govt.'s. 2. Most people knew this is going to happen, so what was ICC's risk mitigation plan? 3. Even though I feel India should forfeit, imagine the financial impact it's going to have on all boards. Is that morally acceptable then?
A comedy of errors. Nothing of these things will not happen. Champions Trophy will be indefinitely postponed. In fact it's been decided already. Ignorance is bliss for these jokers. 😅😅😅😅😅
Always pleasure to listen to Usman Samiuddin.
Just curious to know the Status of the stadium's renovation work???

It's all about dollars, nothing else. In the end PCB will accept compensation ( dollars) and it will become a pattern for the future.
