Great lesson and thank you. I understand the smaller muscles - hand/forearm/etc. - are the most affected by anxiety, so moving the "engine" towards the bigger muscles and basically taking the smaller ones out of the equation gives enormous confidence when you'd be otherwise a candidate for a miss. I think this was the biggest change for me years ago and got me from 12 to 4 in less than a year. New sub from Sydney and cheers - Dave
Love the video. Best part of my game by far is chipping. I always assess the lie first and then pick my landing spot. I will also take a few practice swings to see where I ground the club, must graze the ground in front of the ball. This time of year we get very inconsistent lies in Ireland, sometimes just on wet mud. This is the hardest lie of all and requires maybe a 7i. The best tip I could give anyone is to not be afraid to mess 1 up. Even the pros mess some up. If you don’t put so much pressure on the shot, you’ll be more confident.
Explanation of set up and technique is beyond words. The attitude and tone of your teaching is the absolute BEST I have ever seen and I have watched thousands of coaching videos from the top 50 ranked swing and short game coaches. You have chosen the proper path in life and you are a gift from God to us mortals who cherish the GREAT CHALLENGE WE CALL GOLF! Cheers from Canada
Funny how we cherish the most frustrating activity on the planet . Logically, it's completely an irrational endeavor that's like a drug. You just want mo.
love your work SGC! its funny how almost everybody still goes back to 10 degree forward shaft lean even after you telling them to have a more neutral shaft! old habits are hard to break.
The only thing I wish they could do is go to a course with dormant Bermuda and show how he would handle because brushing or bruising the grass is so hard for me to commit to until the grass greens up and then I feel like i'm a different golfer.
Omg that is me. By far this series is the best instructional golf lesson…simple and short.
This is probably one of the most useful 13 minutes in golf
This is the perfect fundamental of the short game! So basic but i get it wrong so often. Thank you for the set up and structured backswing reminder
What a great instructor. So simple and easy to understand.
I love how stoked he is for the other guy, great teacher. He was more hyped about Ben's shots than Ben was.
So thankful for Parker’s videos. Learning how to properly engage the bounce has made golf so much more fun.
Such an underrated channel. Thanks for sharing. So much great info to take away from all this. Keep it up!

This was my problem with chipping, can’t wait to try this out!!
Love the short game chef. Great coaching and nice confidence building chat
Awesome lesson, thanks so much for sharing this. Great teaching method and explanation.
So impressed with the lesson can't wait to go use it tomorrow
Great video with a solid instructor and student!
Parker is the man!
Great lesson! I'm going to put it into practice today.
I watched one of your videos about 4 months ago, practiced and now I don't think I have duffed a chip since. Awesome.
Which one? I need to stop duffing my chips!
@@kevinwhelehan421 it was a two part lesson he did with Be Better Golf UA-cam channel.
@@christophersamson5100 thanks I'll see if I can find it.
Really enjoyed this video, makes so much sense

No one asked you.
Great video. What loft and bounce is Ben using on these shots?
If I were taking this lesson, I'd have to make a bunch of practice swings trying something new, but this guy jumps right in...
Great channel. Lots of nuggets in this particular video. Parker is the man, super jealous you got some 1 on 1 time.
This video helped me so much. Thank you!

SO helpful. Thanks
Great video. Which wedge is he hitting, 60* or 54* ? What is the bounce?
Great video. How will this setup differ if you're in the rough right around the green?

Great video and (free) lesson! 😊
Terrific stuff. Thank You
Interesting comment that keeping your feet together forces you to slow down and manage the low point better. And it works
Tremendous!
great tips! Wednesday here I come!
Great video
Good video !!!
Great content. To the point and very helpful! Thanks!

Apply this same motion…. Thats what the chef teaches… a shallow chip shot, use more bounce thats something he emphasizes
This is channel is perfect ty
Thanks for sharing this! Very help tips on set up and backswing, definitely need this as a reminder 😊
After opening the clubface slightly should you regrip the club?
Awesome video.
Awesome video. Helpful tips. Thanks. (What brand hoodie is Parker wearing?)
What is the hoodie brand that Parker McLachlin is wearing in this video?
love it
what club do u recommend for that shot
What club are you using?
Love this content! Would you recommend a neutral shaft lean for full wedge shots too?
Do you have a video of the techniques for deep rough for pitches or chips?
We just filmed a series on that and will be publishing it soon!
@@GolfersJournal great looking forward to it
Same on really short grass ?
Do you have anything on playing short shots around the green from severe uphill stance
Spine angle matching the slope and use 1 extra club as the slope will weaken your loft
@@TeeBoxTobies Many thanks for your response. Regards
Where did he get that visor?
Right here fine, sir: www.golfersjournal.com/product/the-top-dressing-visor/
The fortnite kids would say you’re goated
Biggest issue is the visor.
Keith Mitchell looks like old money.
#lglg
This guys’ first real problem is the visor…
I joke.. but good video
😂
He skipped over too much of the improvement, i.e. backswing, how far back, etc. how far to hit it
Dude chipped 2 balls and dives so fast in. Take at least 10 balls talk about shots hit then dove into mechanics . 2 is not enough
It was edited - he even said “we’ve hit 15 shots and you can see the difference bla bla ”
