I’ve heard the HD800S on a pretty incredible chain. They sound distant, sterile and unengaging. I’ve heard it said that they’re a completely different sound profile to the 600 series, and while that’s true, they both offer that signature Sennheiser boredom!
Im rocking ZMF VC's right now, just got rid of my HD800S.. It was the right choice for me, and sound better too. Nice vid. Next up for me is some pad rolling, not sure what I'm after on that front quite yet though.
Auteur rejected after 1 hour A-B test vs the HD800s. Auteur - bad comfort, big flaw in the build (extra head strap does nothing), strange FR replay, I find some strange coloration, think they have less detail but more sharp peaks, smaller sound stage. After this A-B test I decided to take the chance with an Eikon. Now regret it - bad service, uncomfortable, same flaw in the build, poor technicalities and sound stage. My opinion is that ZMFs are overpriced.
@@soulfulfool could be but sennheiser's fans are not that devoted. ZMF though, if you say ZMF is bad you'd be facing backlash. I personally don't really like sennheiser and prefer ZMF more. I've had the chance to demo an Auteur and I love it so much

Good to see you back I thought you were toast. : )

I have the 800S to complement my VC. I'm thinking of replacing my 800S with the new ZMF Atrium
@@asplmn Better be on it with the april 1st drop date! They're gonna sell out in seconds I'm sure.
VC is captivating, rich and full bodied sound with sweet timbre. I kind of lost interest in other headphones since I own it, so beautiful.
Are those the classics?
Are the Auteur and Eikons no longer available on the ZMF website? I couldn't find them there.
Both models are currently out of production & may or may not be back. ZMF is offering a new model called the Atrium as of April 1st.
Comfort is most important...without comfort its not a good headphone

One of these brands is overly hyped and quite overrated for me. I’d rather not say which one coz i know I would get a lot of haters for it. 🤣
ZMF?
@@kato2395 Sennheiser?

@@kato2395 I love my VC :) Sennheiser is lifeless compared to ZMF
Sennheiser is the King of headphones.... zmf is the wannabe
