Hello, thank you for commenting! You could use them for forex futures, rather than spot. Then trade the SPOT based on what you see on the futures.

Hey Phoenix, it took lots of trial and error to build these charts, but we provide our full Sierra chartbook template as a download for our members so that they can effectively "plug and play". We've got some Sierra Chart tutorials on our channel if you want to learn more!
What software/platform is this?
As I understand it, the trapped buyers / sellers thesis depends on whether the trade is being opened or closed. Since if they are closing a position they won't be trapped. How can you know if a trader is opening a position (buying long / selling short) or closing a position (e.g. exercising their stop loss or being liquidated)?
When you are selling near a low and market price reverses higher, whether you sold to exit a long or you sold to open a short, you still lose on the way up - you either lose money or opportunity. This is why it doesn't really matter if it's an opening position or closing, lots of sellers at the lows is bad if price can't continue lower. Hope this helps. Great question.
@@TradeProAcademy Thanks for the response. Although it would be useful to know if they've opened a short position since that would indicate the possibility of a short squeeze if price moves against them. I guess there's no way to be sure.

Hey Nick, the reversal means that once the market rotates 5 ticks from the high or the low a new bar prints! This shows us market rotations more clearly! Cheers- Mark

Something about the way the FootPrint is interpreted is confusing the heck out of me.
The first of which is, if we have the BID on the left of the footprint and ASK on the right, what this tells me is that we have buyer pressure on the left and seller pressure on the right, right?. But this ofcourse is not the full story since we have two kinds of buyers and sellers (i.e. Agressive and Passive). This leads me to my next question.
According to the logic presented above, I would associate the Passive Buyers with the BID side and the Passive Sellers with the ASK side. Now that leaves the Aggressive traders. Here is where I get lost. Why are we placing aggressive buyers in the ASK slot and the aggressive sellers in the BID slot? This just feels counter-intuitive to me.
Aren't we placing the "market participant", in either slot, based on what "he/she" is doing? (i.e. buying or selling regardless of whether it is aggressive or not?) Somone, please clear this up 😭
@4:50, you say that left side is bid and right side is ask, (bid is buyers and ask is sellers), then in the follow up part, you say green shown on the right is buyers and red on the left is sellers. Could you explain how this part?
Yessir, the bid limit is a market sell because it takes off the seller to get into the market. Aka hitting the bid is selling. The opposite for buying, hope this helps.
