The motor is cased within a protective metal casing and it doesn't show it here, but the E-Clipse actually comes with a sump guard for further protection. Hope that clarifies!
My 12kw bike is similar to the Sahara but is lighter at 170lbs. but mine has lightweight (AKA MTB) suspension and brakes. But mine was only $3500 and I can upgrade those bits later.
