My dad had a 1963 3.8 Mk2, it would push you back into the seat when accelerating away from 100MPH, If its a 1967 car , jags put the Mk2 back into production as the S type wasn't selling. I cannot recall another manufacturer doing the same, apart from the Ford with its Thunderbird . I saw a 3.8 some years back in signal red with wire wheels in Wilmslow Cheshire UK , priced at £4500 for some unknown reason i bought a 1990 Mercedes SL R129 still have it too. That was a mistake the Mk2 jag is a classic. Those small side lights we called suicide lights as jag owners would drive at dusk with just those pin prick lights on, the engine / exhaust note again is wonderful to behold ! It was used for bank robberies with the criminals disconnecting the brake light switch to fool the cops when being chased , So the police started using Mk2 too. AND if sat in traffic behind the Mk2 BEWARE the reversing light coming on, 1st gear and reverse were very close and instead of going forward the car would reverse into the car behind. Best regards Cheshire uk and sometimes ubon ratchthani Thailand
