- Today we are playing a Hela deck that has been working so well for me! We had an insane win percentage for the first run of games we played so I knew I had to share it!

At the end of your turn, BlackCat gets discarded out of the hand.
Dracula discards at the end of the game. So it looked like Dracula discarded twice but it was actually discarding LadySif only.
IMHO, I think Black Knight is fine as is. Most of the time, folks are only seeing him when he pops off, and they’re not seeing the 5 other times he completely clunks. If they nerf BK, I hope they keep his blade as indestructible, so Shang doesn’t automatically wipe out the whole deck, and it brings Shadow King a bit more into the meta.

Exactly. Most people forget that if he's not drawn in the early turns before you can even start discarding, his ability is worthless
More people would be fine with nerfs if SD didn't just kill cards instead of balancing them. And the cards that deserve harsher nerfs are the ones that rarely ever get effected in any meaningful way
It is true. This morning, I play with Black Knight deck, but most of the time that card was showing on turn 4 or 5. Twice is not showing at all.

The deck is insane and I did what you suggested for those of us without Black Knight. Swap in zabu, and ghost rider in trade with jubilee and knight! This deck is sick!
This is definitely good RNG. Hela games are often reliant on Lockjaw and Jubilee not pulling the wring cards at the wrong time
no he has big cards thats why they be pulled out a lot
Kinda unrelated but i'm thinking of quitting the game because every single deck i try i just get horrible RNG, i got to almost infinite when i started playing with the OG Kazoo deck but now i'm at 3k collection level and i can't win games reliably solely because RNG affects every faucet of this game. I tried the exact deck in this vid and i went 0-8 and i'm not gonna bother trying any more. I either don't pull low cost cards until the end or i discard Hella. You need good RNG to even play this deck, let alone win.
@@A7G3L0same I just tried this deck and hated it. Lost 8 straight games! Hand full of 6 cost cards at the end and 1 jubilee… of course Drac discards her and not one of the big 6 drops. Every game was like that. What’s the worst possible outcome that’s that only consistent result I seemed to get

I run the same deck but it feels like it just can't really compete with thanos blob or tribunal modok hela - power output is too low and no tech cards to counter them
And I feel like these are the only two I currently face @80
I feel like BK is in tier 2 ish but one of the better decks when everything runs well.. the thing is BK is pretty damn inconsistent where not only do you have to have a good draw you also gotta have a good hand because the placement of the cards make every bit of difference. I've been running BK before he got buffed and it was a struggle but still enjoyed trying different builds to use with him to make him a bit more consistent.
Even with the buff it's still a struggle in most games 😆

This deck made me climb from 60 to rank 90 in like 2 or 3 days completely counters any cheira into blob due to Enchantress and Shang chi which can be played easily on turn 6 due to zabu plus has the reliable shenut win condition if bk fails to trigger

13:05 what's with your fixation for playing around Doc Oc? Is that a common inclusion in a Howard/Antman deck, or are you confusing Great Portal with White Palace?
I've faced someone in the conquest looks exactly like this deck. I'm using Destroy Deck with Taskmaster on it. It's a tough match up with that deck. I got lucky on locations so I got the dub.

That glitch around 10:40 must have put an invisible Magneto there, (based on how much power you had when the lane resolved). Really weird though. I have to wonder if your opponent saw the same or could actually see your Magneto.
I’ve also had a lot of fun with ghost rider, can only bring back 1 discard but he’s cheaper and more controlled

I hope they don’t nerf it, since second diner loves to nerf consistent card. be it shang-chi, america chavez, and dr doom (back in the day)

The nerf to Ebony Blade that would still have good "flavor" would require a text change: "Ongoing: If this is played to the same location as Black Knight, cannot be destroyed and its power cannot be reduced"
This^ is probably way too text heavy but at least it feels more like "equipment" (I think?) and you know what location it's being played to as an opponent.
Keep the indestructible, remove the "can't be reduced". Shang-Chi shouldn't be the answer to everything and Shadow King could use more clear targets. Feels fair since you can shag yourself with SK and BK decks could just run Luke Cage to counter him. With how this goes usually though, this deck will get addressed soon and they're going to drop Infinaut to 18 or something, like all the non-sensical nerfs since Loki.
Completely agree, Shang is already everywhere. Would rather give Shadow King a chance to shine
The deck tracker: has anyone read the TOS on it? I downloaded it, but have a chance to read through the whole EULA/TOS whichever it is. I don't like to install stuff with vague TOS or that can interact with other programs so I am not risking anything. Anyone do the research? Any risks on installing it?
Black Knight into Blade when you have a good discard is amazing.
The 2 discarded at the end because Black Cat discards at the end of the turn then Drac discards for end of game.
I wonder if there’s room to squeeze ghost rider in here for something? He’s such a fun card in this type of deck.
Awesome deck, but I feel Hela doesn't fit since few cards are being discarded. I'm trying something similar, but I removed Black Cat and Hela and added Ghost Rider and Zabu. So far, so good
I also replace Giganto with Skaar
Letting out the secrets man... Everyone has been saying discard isn't competitively viable and everyone's been on high evo and destroy. I've been thoroughly enjoying Hela. Granted, it's a bit of a gamble, but if you manage your risk assessment via retreating vs staying, it's done me well. Granted, I've only been playing a few months and probably don't know what the hell I'm talking about but if I have a "main" it's Hela.
Eh for a solitaire style deck its not even coming close to other power houses. Requires good rng on your side and bad rng on the other cause the only kinda tech card is magneto. I like the zabu black knight more
Powercreep is starting to be a problem in this game. This season has increased the power output of meta decks to 40+ power on average! Thats not even high rolling. High rolling Thanos/Blob and Hela/Tribunal can net you almost 100 power spread. Its getting ridiculous.
Agree. Decks like Silver Surfer, etc, are just non-factors competitively now.
@@jasonweibel9107 exactly! I like so many archetypes that are just unusable in the current meta. Like even Lockdown (which I hate) is drastically under performing. I would argue this is the worst it's been since beta. If you're not playing meta you're just taking L after L but the meta is 2 decks. Hoping we get a big update that reigns in the stuff that's dictating these deck builds.
Yeah it's bad when the "i'm fed up enough trying to have fun, i'm resorting to Lockdown" play isn't even on the table. I think the Blob nerf will help..... a little... mostly by people just giving up on it without trying it. If you were gonna lose to a 40-power Blob there's a good chance you were still gonna lose to a 19-power one. @@joelslater4587

Could be good if there wasn't a 100% chance of hela starting in my hand and a 100% chance of sif targeting her no matter how many 6 cost cards are in my hand

14 games is not a good enough sample size, like you said. However, Black Knight decks are the only real competition to Blob/Thanos which is still a better deck. I hate playing the best deck, especially when they are boring like Blob, so Black Knight has been a real savior for me
Ebony blade is fine they never put out a counter for Cosmo , so no counter for Ebony blade needed

not enough game sample. I had a great win rate the first 20+ games with nearly any deck than it evens out to about 50 to 60% most times
