Same thing happened to us for New Year’s Eve last year in Mexico and this time in Punta Cana, all the restaurants had the same menu
That’s the downside of holiday travel! I look forward to the day when my life looks a little different, and I never travel on school breaks or holidays again. We’re on a 2 year countdown for that 😬

The first drink that you had looks like a caribbean drink (coconut based) called coquito. It is very easy to make. You can find the recipe online. Thanks for another wonderful video! 💜
The creamy drink at night? I have had homemade coquito, but not in many many years!
We just signed up for the VIP arrival service too! Last year we were in a stand still for 90 minutes, hoping to avoid that and get to SCC asap!
It was so quick for us!

Arrival only. I don’t personally need the departure service, but you might want it 😊

Did you find the VIP worth the money?
Yes! I think of it as an insurance policy. If you don't need it, great. If you need it and didn't have it you'll be upset. We have had some LONG waits without it.
This resort looks nice! Do you prefer Cancun or Punta Cana?

Ah, that stinks about the menu. it did actually LOOK amazing, but didn't seem as well executed from your comments. I hope you make it back to the Italian so Kevin can have his Chicken Parm! Mixology seems to be closer to what you were missing at Haven! A good sign! Oh- Was that Loreal Lumi you used as primer at the start of your make up application? Also, which eyeshadow primer do you like?
The lumi glotion is my favorite! The eye primer is “stuck on you”. I think it was from an Ipsy bag.

How were the sunsets ?
It sets behind the resort.
Visited this resort in December, I can say that it is very inconsistent. Some waiters are very unprofessional, they can forget to bring your drink during launch or bring the wrong order from a different table. During weak days entertainment was not existent, no shows or performances only some bachata music from dj.
Food was very good only at french restaurant other places are pretty average and you don't have many choices if you stay for a long time.
The room was pretty good and modern but service was very strange, if you can find this hotel at good price it should worth it, but it's not on a level of high end resorts like Secrets.
Not impressed with the menu (especially for Christmas Eve) there was nothing on that menu my husband would eat! Enjoy the video but not the resort for me!
Don’t write it off after one video- especially if you’re not traveling over the holidays. This was the only day of a preset menu.
I wouldn't judge the whole place based on one Christmas eve meal. I'll reserve judgement, plus, turns out you could still order off the regular menu.
Have you considered that limiting the menu on Christmas Eve potentially allows more of the staff to spend time with their families? Seems like a small price.
