A weekend of carp fishing at Stompdrif Dam, Little Karoo Western Cape.
Bait used from Supercast, Legends Legacy Series and Signature Series. We used large soft flouts: Banana, Garlic, Pink Sweets and FX. We used ball dips: Banana, Garlic, Pink Sweets, FX and Sweetie Pie. We used Tiger Nuts, Exotic Fruit Boilies and Mulberry Pop Ups.

Wow... Was there December 2023 and the dam was not that full.. had to go down, way down to fish.. I actually drive down with my car to the dam from campsite...

Yes, the dam got more than 50% water with the last cut off low. We caught nice carp but it can be a bite of a difficult dam.

@karooproangling7543 I can imagine. We cought barbel and carp (but mostly barbel) when we were there but as Gautengers we were also there to explore the region so fishing was really only when we werent feeling like driving everywhere. Great channel I binge-watched a bit last night and had all these memories come back quickly
