1994 was such a great year for hip hop. So many great albums and artists came out that year or really matured and settled into their sound. The muddy bass, tight drums and jazz influences coupled with thoughtful lyricism really gave the East Coast sound a great atmosphere and soul that seemed to peak around 96. This particular album was not a great one for 1994 in my opinion but there were a few tracks I really loved including this one. I always wanted an instrumental version so I played around with it a little and settled on this. Thanks for listening.
~ Just heard this song from my suggested Spotify songs and loved it had to find an instrumental version so I can make it my ringtone. SALUTE great work ~
Hey man I appreciate that. I grew up with and love all of these albums and tracks so I try my best to pay them respect when I edit them and make my compilations. Thanks for commenting and listening, I truly appreciate it.
Id say this album, The Main Ingredient, Illmatic, and Ready To Die really solidified the golden age of hip hop throughout the 90s and they're the reason hip hop is still breathing yet that isn't what people speculate
Yeah, when I was listening to this cassette back in the day this track really got my attention. I listened to it over and over. I love the atmosphere. Thanks for listening, much appreciated.
Wow this is fantastic. I love the beat and the sample, I just don’t like lyrics. I don’t give a fuck about dawn and her bastard child. You are a legend
