I do not ship them at all but I would not say it is impossible for them to fell in love (if/when they meet). Jon is a brave warrior, an honorable man, I may say THE KNIGHT but also tender and loyal. I think Dany would find this interesting, even appealing. Dany is a strong woman, a warrior, fierce but also gentle and feels sorry for other people (same as Jon, actually). Their story, I mean the experience, is a little different but also very same at some things. So I can really imagine they actually could be attracted to each other. But I do not want them to end up tgh. Not ever. I like both characters but not together at all :)
I can never understand why people ship these two so much. They havent had any screen time together!!!! None. if they had actual screen time and there was some chemistry between their characters, then yes it all makes sense. But to me shipping means seeing how the two characters behave and act towards one another. It makes sense when you see there is potential chemistry. What fans are doing is imagining a scenario where the two most attractive people on the show fall madly in love with each other, that is like saying "wow he is the high school football quarterback and she is the captain of the cheerleaders, they should totally be a couple!!!!" that is very juvenile. It doesnt make sense to pair two people up just because they are attractive. You have to wait and see if they even can work together and unite the 7 kingdoms.
i agree with you. i think the reason why people ship them is not because of the characters but because of the actors. kit harington and emilia clarke have great chemistry in interviews and such.
+vantha doun I do not ship them; the prospect or likelihood that they will get together romantically actually saddens me, because I am a hopeless (in more than one meaning of the word) Dany/Jorah shipper. But I understand well enough why many people do ship Jon/Daenerys. They are two of the major protagonists of the story, with many parallels between their plot arcs, and of very similar age. I'm not a book reader, but it's my understanding that many book readers were expecting or hoping Jon and Daenerys would meet and fall in love long before the show was a reality. They seem "destined" for each other. (Some think that destiny is to be mortal enemies. Possible; I doubt it.) The attractiveness of the two performers has added fuel to the fire, but I don't think it's the source of it. I think they will be a couple. Temporarily. One or both of them will be dead at the end, IMO.
