@All: skip to 09:29 to see what everybody knows already. Once you hit the map boundary under water - boom - you're being teleported back to dry land. Idk if the uploader mentioned this because I muted the audio as I couldn't stand all the jabbering.
I once managed to get to the bottom of the ocean with just the big double-decker airliner by just going high up in the air, and then nose-dive into the ocean. I got there and it was a flat floor going on for miles. Fun times.

You don't need fancy mods and cheats to do this. In the quest "The Merryweather Heist", when you acquire the submarine, the depth limit is temporarily disabled. You can hit the bottom (which is about 0.16 miles) in that. You cannot go lower though, because the game will teleport you to the surface (this is sort of a safety switch the game does when you hit the edge of the map).

rock* aren't hiding anything; firewalls are implemented into all games to avoid the console/PC exploding from loading all of the infinite map.
Exploding? Not really, in the most extreme case your OS would blue screen because of insufficient memory, but it would be more likely to your game just crash at that point. On console it would just freeze and you would have to restart, happened to me before

You can get to the bottom where u get teleportet with no mods, i tried this a few years ago:
Just go in Gta online with ur man in the ocean and swim as deep as u can, when u lose some health eat some sneaks and carry on. after some time ull get teleported.
