You are so down to earth, love the videos, beautiful views, I have a Honda Shadow Aero 750, and because of you I bought a Blue 2020 Rebel 500 just like yours, I've modified it quite a bit though. Can't wait to hear about the Rebel 110 comparison.
@@mcSal Hi Sal, How are you doing? Just pulled the Rebel up on the lift and doing more mods to her. Things like footboards, trunk to lock up helmet, driving lights, turn signal module, etc... Living in the city I enjoy the Rebel so much. I have been out test riding other bikes, Harley, Indian, Rebel 1100 etc... but found myself wanting to modify them to fit me so much that I have my bikes already modified to fit me and said to myself I'm not gaining much with them. My little 500 is all I need in the city and she doesn't disappoint, as soon as I start riding her, it's hard to get off, and fall in love with her all over again. Now summer can't come soon enough LOL!
Love your videos. I went from Rebel 500 to Vulcan 650 and now have a rebel 1100DCT on order. My question is what is that screen you have on the Rebel 1100 and where did you get it from it looks great!
@psulindz Sorry, but I just saw your question. We don't get notice of comments inside other comments. Did you get the windshield put on your Rebel 1100? I can help you with some of the details. I've put 4 of those windshields on now, two on the Rebel 1100's and two on Rebel 500's. You can attach just to the bars, or to the bars and forks. The windshield works just fine either way. I had to reverse the rails that hold the windshield to the bars for the different bikes. The Rebel 500 is one way and the 1100 is the opposite direction. Maybe I'll do a video on it. Ride safe.
Cam you please do a comparison between the Rebel 1100 in Rain Mode and the Vulkan s650. I think the Rebel 1100 in Rain Mode could be a very interesting option for a first bike.
No need to shorten the video. That was the perfect length and I enjoyed seeing the trip including the snow at the top of the mountains. I had a question though. I know you said in a previous video how you didn't enjoy certain aspects of the DCT such as throttle input around a corner. If you found the manual version, why didn't you trade in the DCT? Why keep two versions of the same bike?
You're right. My current plan is to sell the DCT after the comparison with the Zero SR/S, which hasn't been filmed yet. That will be fun and interesting, because both bikes have a lot of horsepower and torque, and neither require shifting. It will be automated vs electric. I'm currently editing the 1100 DCT vs Manual video. If I sell the DCT, maybe I can get another bike??? Too much fun.
@@victorw5796 Oh, my gosh! I like the Triumph Speed Twin and the Street Triple R Low! The new Speed Twin has the rear pegs moved slightly forward, which piques my interest.
For the amount of driving and $$$ you spent to find a burgundy one. You could have purchased a non-burgundy one and had it painted to match or any other color..
That's too bad. It seems to be difficult to find any of the Rebel 1100's right now. Hope you can find one soon, even if you have to look further away like I did.
Yes, I still have all of my bikes. I don’t know which I like better. When I think I favor the Street Twin, I realize I ride the Rebel 1100 Manual more. The Street Twin is a more fun and playful bike, and feels soooo well made and much better exhaust. The Rebel 1100 feels more ‘cookie cutter’ but it gives a good, solid and enjoyable ride. My favorite depends on the day. I like them all for different reasons. I have no intention of ever giving up my Street Twin. It’s an iconic bike.
If you want a new dark brown forward seat, matching passenger seat & passenger pegs & bracket let me know. I ordered them all new & they’re still in the box. I ended up buy a Harley instead
Sounds good, except I already ordered a Corbin two up seat a couple of weeks ago. They're building it for me. But... If Stacy (my daughter) ends up taking the 1100 DCT in exchange for one of her Rebel 500's, I'll most likely be getting back to you about the price on that seat. She hasn't ridden the DCT yet, but she knows I'll make that exchange if she wants it. Which HD did you buy?
@@mcSal The driver’s seat is the forward seat- it puts you an inch closer to the handlebars. The passenger seat is the normal brown passenger seat and the pigs are the normal pegs& all are Genuine Honda. I ended up buying the Harley Davidson Street Bob!
@@mcSal LOVE IT! It’s so much fun! It’s a monstrous engine that is extremely user-friendly in my opinion. I opted for a new 2020 model they had with the M8 107 engine. I found the 2021 model with the 114 engine to be more work (on my part) for city riding than the 107. The clutch on the 114 is ridiculously stiff & the difference between the 107 & 114’s power is on the jump which I didn’t need. I have a couple of rides on my channel 1 test driving the 2021 Orange Colored Street Bob 114 and the other video just riding the black Street Bob 107 which is the one I bought. Here’s the specs on mine: 86.0 HP @ 5020 RPM Torque: 110 ft.lbs @ 3000 RPM 655 lbs wet weight
@@blkjakk Sounds awesome! That is so exciting! I will check it out on your channel. If the Indian Demo Days tour comes your way, please take the opportunity to test ride the new 2022 Indian Chief, and particularly the 2022 Indian Chief Dark Horse. I did and WOW!!
I'm on the edge of my seat over here Sal! We need the follow up!
I'm working on it!

What a journey. Great video.
I am eagerly waiting for my Rebel to be delivered.
The collection is growing! Awesome!
Can't wait to see the comparison video!
The first comparison video (physical comparison) is now out, and the second one (the ride) will be out in a day or so.

Thank you! The windshield is a generic cruiser windshield from Amazon. It is identified with a link in the video description.
Finally a manual review!!!
I’m excited to show the differences between the Manual and the DCT. Yes, there are differences! Working on that video now.
Rebel 500 and Rebel 1100 Manual: 100% badass bikes 😎
Love your videos, you’re making me go buy a Honda rebel 1100
Very nice they even put the windscreen on. Look forward to seeing them.
Actually, I put the windscreen on the DCT after I bought it. The link is in the video description. Neither the DCT nor Manual version come with one.
Any chance you could share pictures of your windshield? I bought one for my 1100 dct and I can't get it installed to save my life. Thank you!

Farmers and ranchers don't have Toyota trucks. It's almost all Dodge or Ford at the horse and cattle events.
