You’re as tough as nails! I enjoyed the trueness of your video and really appreciate your real life experience. Not every experience happens as planned. Keep posting! Looking forward to your next adventure!
It just wasn't your day, Jamie - but an adventure, all the same! Yep, there is a difference between street and mountain clothing - and not just the price, eh? But look, you're just starting out, and you have to do that as you can afford - so all is definitely not lost. Goat Fell is deceptive when compared to other mountains because - unlike most of them, you start out literally at sea level! And you got a wee holiday out of it too, without any camping (not to say some shot practice for the New Year...!). Hope the phone and car survived. Have a good Christmas & New Year, when it comes!
That was some adventure by the look of it. At least it had a happy ending and you did achieve what you set out to do which is great. The conditions looked really treacherous on the summit with wet ice but you made it down ok, phew. I usually take a paper map and a compass as well as gps and/or a phone. Probably a good idea to take some cash or at least a bank card as well, so you're independent of electronic devices which somehow always seem to fail when you need them most. Anyway, great video and thanks for sharing the trip with us. Maybe you can do it again when the days get longer and the weather might be better! Merry Christmas and a good New Year.
Jamie, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger…. And here I am referring to the shots!! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope 2025 is kind to you. Keep the videos coming. I enjoy touring the beauty spots of Scotland with you. Take care.
This was definitely a great video Jamie, but please be more careful in the future. Your videos are so enjoyable I don't mind waiting weeks for you to put one out. I wish you a happy holiday season and look forward to where the new year takes you.😊😊❤
I really do appreciate your journeys into Scotland's countryside, and admire your perseverance. Merry Christmas to you and your family (and I hope your automobile is repairable). 'On a clear day Northern Ireland may be seen': next time! 😀
Hopefully youve now got your quota of bad luck out of the way, and 2025 will be all good! I guess you filmed this a couple of weeks ago, and you weren't actually at risk of spending Xmas stranded on Arran - which could have been interesting! Thank goodness for your friends there. I went to Arran in May (to see Brodick Castle) when the weather was good. I would deffo go again - but not in December. Happy almost Xmas and thx for the inspiration this year.
I know nothing went according to plan and it was stressful but this video was still interesting to watch as it seemed you dealt with the adversity well. It sounds like you had a great time in the pub and I hope it didn't cost too much to get your phone fixed!
The elements and Mother nature can take a life so quickly Jamie, so good call on bailing On October 30th there was a 22 year old UA-camr who done similar type videos to you involving hiking and camping out, by the name of Storm De Beul RIP (with a channel by the name of "storm outdoorsy") that was reasonably well experienced but froze to death in Swedens Lapland due to conditions worse than expected .... you may be aware of it? But yeah just shows how a wrong descision, or failure to actually make a descission in time can kill So play safe Jamie, have a good Christmas and see you in the new year
Spend Christmas with yur nearest and dearest the mountains and glens will be there when your not the rule of thumb of all mountaineers is keep safe never put your life at risk t can become minus - 20 in the space of a few hours and even buried in 4ft of snow ⛄️ happy Christmas 🎅
Watch what you missed out on the link below. Worse places to get stuck on than Arran! But as a catalogue of upsets, that takes some beating, even for you. Is there any chance santa will get you a new car. Just don't get an electric car. With your luck it would burst into flames on the first outing😂😂 ua-cam.com/video/c5CQyKG4rOM/v-deo.htmlsi=X6bZdZ_t_Lft9wuy
Enjoyed every part of this video.. Please keep posting more.. and STAY safe..🙂👏👍

How much that went wrong on this trip is incredible xD Good attitude though; perseverance!
