The 80's will never die because of songs like this. I just hope the young generation of today can see all of the great songs of this amazing decade so they could learn and feel what real music is all about. Long live the 80's!
That's what I love about 80s music. It goes from a deep synthesizer typical 80s sound, over great ballads to songs like this, that sounds like it could have been made in 2018. 80s music really was, and HAS, everything. And that's also why I'll never stop listening to 80s music. 😉
I like Jane. She wrote me back personally (back in the days of actual letters sent in envelopes)! Answered my questions, talked about her current projects.
Peaked at just No. 77 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 30 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Charts in 1985. Should’ve been a MUCH bigger hit single. GREAT tune.
It was actually a local hit here in LA. They played it constantly in 85 and it was #21 or so on the end of the year chart. Shame it’s never played in 80s stations today. The song holds up.
It got airplay on the "alternative" station in Dallas too. It stuck out because, well, it just sounds like a simple cute pop love song if you're not paying attention. Not only is it a bit melancholy lyrically, musically there's more going on too. Great track. Oh, and it still gets played on SomaFM's "Underground 80s" channel.
@@dampergoldenrod4156 no, blue kiss is the lead single from her first album which was released a few years before her second album which had the lead hit single Rush Hour. The second single from that album, Inside A Dream got almost no airplay and was not a hit. Tho it might have registered with some since there was a push to make it work after Rush Hour became a hit.
In my opinion, this music video is the best I've seen. Just playing some instruments and riding in the truck with that greenery scenery behind, healing music video.
I like Belinda more but I do find Jane to be the custest by far. Being from the UK I did not find out about the Go Go's till they reformed in 1994. I already love jane from Rush Hour which was a big favourite of mine and Belinda was always a big favourite too, so it was great for me to find they were actually in the same band.
Oh, this beautiful song wasn't a hit (1985 US #77) - she had two much bigger hits in 1988: "Rush Hour" (US #9) and "Inside A Dream" (US #57) - so at least a two hit wonder ;-)
Although I listened to K-pop, I just *love* the 70s-90s music. When I asked my parents about a concert that they want, they shared it and sadly, they didn't have the opportunity to go. But, the last thing they said is *”Music is life”* which made joy in my heart. The love for music is also important in life. I'm so thankful to have them as my family❤️

Jane is the best Go-Go! I like Belinda too but Miss Wiedlin has the harmonies, she sounds like a child when she sings and this is magical. I also love her song Inside A Dream,so meaningful and innocent
+Andrew Chapman This was her first solo album in 1985. Great song BUT I got the album back then and the rest of it sucked. Her second album "Fur" from 1988 was awesome, however.

A blue kiss coloring me goodbye
A new kiss could never feel so fine
Tomorrow I'll be livin' in black and white
Why does it have to be such a blue kiss
When I kiss you
Now I color my world with a blue kiss
I've got kisses for you
Red lips kissin' away my fears
A blue kiss bringin' me back to tears
Why does it have to be such a blue kiss
Yea, these kisses are blue
Now I color my world with a blue kiss
I've got kisses for you
A prism of love surrounded us
Don't you see what our hearts knew
How can you chose a one-color world
When you know that I've got a rainbow for you
Last night a spectrum filled the sky
This morning it shattered with your goodbye
Why does it have to be such a blue kiss
When I kiss you
Now I color my world with a blue kiss
I've got kisses for you
Why does it have to be such a blue kiss
When I kiss you
Now I color my world with a blue kiss
I've got kisses for you
Why does it have to be such a blue kiss
When I kiss you
Now I color my world with a blue kiss
I've got kisses for you
Why did it have to be such a blue kiss
Yea, those kisses were blue
Now I color my world with a blue kiss
