It's about time. I grew up with Huffy as a manager brand like a lot of us old heads. Honestly I'm glad to see him really getting to the BMX mix again. Especially in the freestyle area. Stepping their game up with the frames and equipment. It's going to be real cool to see.
I'm glad Huffy is back, love to see classic companies supporting more pro bmx again. I got a Mongoose L500 a couple years ago and that is actually a pretty good bike so far. I have added a few mods later on, but even when it was standard wasn't bad for the price. Sure Mongoose and Huffy will have a stigma with older riders for a while, but they can get strong reputable again.
Yep! Mongoose is certified legit. Their Title Team frame helped Cam Wood make it to the finals at the Olympics and 2024 USA BMX Men's Pro National Champion. And on the street side they have Kevin Paraza and we all know he's a beast on the bike. I'm hearing the new Huffy frames will be dropping this Spring.
Todd Lyons is pumpedddd !!! I remember when Huffy was doing it in the late 90’s ! Anyone who’s an OG’s remembers Ruben Alancantara rode for Huffy too. Breaks my childhood heart seeing GT & Haro slipping off btw.
Man when I had my Huffy Stu Thomsen I was excited to have. It's the bike that helped me get deeper into BMX racing and Freestye. They're recent HX pro, Enigma and Exist are far better quality than their bikes from the 80's.
@@crazyalcaynethat link style stem on that hunk of crap. I wanted one so bad, but couldn’t even pull back or hit jumps on it. The bars would not hold. It only lasted a few months. Can’t remember all of the other problems. Got a Mongoose FS1 right after and could now ride. So happy to throw out the Stew Thomson hunk of junk. I earned a Robinson in 1988 from working hard. That USA beauty was the game changer. Started racing, and didn’t have to worry about a broken bike holding me back.
@@slydwaysdrifter2159 Yep that's the progression especially if you didn't have the funds for the better bikes back in the day. Even some of the good stuff at the time became obsolete at riders progressed. But that was then and this is now.
@ yeah I just purchased a $200 guitar and it’s already set up and sounds better than my $650 guitar from ‘89. I’m all for any bike company to get involved and keep the sport and hobby alive. ✌🏼🫡😎
I currently own a Huffy HX Pro. I am waiting for huffy to release a new frame with straight lines and smaller tubing. Hopefully that will be sooner than later.
I grew hating on huffy. You was getting cooked if you had a huffy. I see your point about the more the merrier though, especially with brands falling out. Had they rebranded or not even mentioned it I wouldn’t even blink an eye I suppose 😂
LOL! Yep the Huffy name still hold weight. It was part of our childhood and many others, good or bad. It's always good in my opinion when legacy brands that have more reach than most step back in the professional BMX arena. I think it's good for the sport.
LOL!! Yeah I didn't catch the Latvia one until it was too late. I was too far in to go back and fix it lol! But I never knew how to pronounce Schwabble LOL!! Thanks for watching!
I can’t lie….. I hated the whole huffy brand since I was a kid lol. Picture asking your mom for a Pro Performer for Christmas and the day come and it’s a Stu Thompson…🤬🤬🤬🤬🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
LOL!! The Huffy Stu Thomsen was my first "good" BMX bike. I used to love that bike. I though it was the best thing out at the time. And then I saw the Mongoose California..... It was love a t first sight lol!
@ I painted that mf fluorescent orange and put GT stickers on it and sold it to get a Diamondback 🤣🤣🤣. Moms said where that white back at!??? 🤷🏾🤷🏾🤷🏾🤣🤣🤣🤣

I had a Huffy bmx in the 80's. Sure, it was embarrassing, but it was "track certified"

I hope Redline get's new racing bikes for 2025 i've racing with their BMX bikes for over 20+ years. ✌🏾
I would be nice. They've been away from racing for a min as far as sponsoring riders and developing new BMX racing bikes.
New Redline BMX bikes coming soon in 2025. Standby!

Yep, I'm looking forward to it!
I didn't see them today at to socal nationals.
I saw Nic there in the Friday race. I didn't get a chance to watch today's race.
It took a little longer, the lids have to come off in order to spit in the cup
lol Say what?
Bring back the Catalyst
Word, I wonder what the name of the pro bikes are gonna be.

Good for Huffy, bad for GT.

Huffy has done nothing for BMX in the past 20+ years. Spend your money elsewhere.
You're actually very wrong. Might wanna do some research.
