Hi! For everyone using an oven that has Fahrenheit temperature, I did 350 degrees for 10 minutes. I also browned the butter before putting it in, it makes a huge difference and the cookies came out perfect, the butter adds a touch of caramel aftertaste!

Honestly, this is the best chocolate chip cookies recipe I’ve ever had. I’ve tried about 10 different kinds of recipes from all over the Internet but this ? This is the winner 😍 sweet but not too sweet, and the texture is crunchy and doesn’t get hard
I have tried about 5 chocolate chip cookie recipes from different people on you tube who claim that their's is the "best, chewy, fool proof etc. These recipes were all failures. They either came out top oily, airy, cakey, crumbly, biscuit or scone like. I tried this particular recipe and WOW!. One day, I ate a cookie that my English teacher gave me and it was very good. Since then, I haven't seen similar cookies in Korea. Subway was a little similar, but it was still different. The cookie in this video is just like that!! Thank you for sharing the recipe.
I rarely comment on video but i just wanna say this is one of the best chocolate chip cookie recipe i ever made!! It's chewy in the middle and crispy on the edges!! It's so delicious that i didnt manage to keep it because my family finished them all up once i got it out from the oven😂

:0 dat looks good, but the best part is knowing that i saw this on my recomendation :D Imma try this next weekend :)))) UPDATE: Update, i made this cookies At first they didn't worked, they were a bit raw The second attempt they were too oily I learned to not open the oven while it is baking, and be more precise on the ingredients. Overall its a nice recipe. This is the best recipe I can recommend for begginers like me.
Finally got around to baking these and was expecting the worst (I've tried many recipes trying to get the right texture) but they turned out great and like shown! Will definitely make again. I made them a bit smaller and didn't chill because that always seems to hinder spread for me. Fantastic caramelization and very chewy texture - my only complaint is that they're too sweet. I measured by grams (measuring cup was super heaped by the time it had the right amount which might've impacted that if most are measuring by cups only, hence less cloying result for those people) and cut down the brown sugar by 25g and they were still too sweet. I'd recommend cutting it down by 1/4 cup, especially if using milk chocolate, and since they have such good spread from other factors, it shouldn't impact that *too* much. I also used all dark chocolate which helped with the sweetness. Thanks for sharing!

I had to come back and comment guys! If you like thin and chewy cookies, this recipe is the one. I tried it. I was skeptical at first with the small amount of flour that it contained but i guess that did the trick!! They looked beautiful and were delicious !! Stick to the measurements!
Can't wait to try this recipe! I've been baking a couple of times now, and the cookies had always been cakey. I wanted to get this kind of texture like the ones you just made. 😊
These cookies are awesome! My first time making them I thought they were just a tad bit too salty so now when i make them i do about half of the called salt and they come out perfect every time! Make sure you dont skip the fridge chill stage!

Thanks for taking the time to leave this lovely comment..i’m not a pro and just an amateur baker…but so glad this recipe has been such a success for lots of people including yourself! Goodluck and enjoy! 🍪
Oh wow these cookies are amazing. Me and my husband made them for Christmas and i had to make it three more times from how goos it was. Thank you so much
This looks delicious!!!! Did u use room temparature melted butter? I will be making this very exited!!!! And also one more question for this did you use brown sugar or light brown sugar? Thx for the recipe!!
Yea for the butter just room temp (let it cool down a tad) I used light brown sugar but u CAN use dark brown sugar…no problem! Good luck! Hope u enjoy x
To answer to your question I melt my butter, and sugar is the fine powdery sugar not the crystallised one…melted butter (liquid) combined with powder the inly way = creamy texture.. hope it works
Omg. Its May 02,2022. I just discovered ur recipe & its perfect! My only problem was the ice cream scooper is too big so cookie wasn't done in the center. Besides that. Its delicious!!
The oven tempreture seemed a bit low. Mine were raw. I turned up the heat a bit, and then i put them back in. Other than that the recipe itself is good! Tasted great 😁
Just make sure it’s like light brown sugar (the more powdery texture ones and not the granule-crystally looking ones…make sure your butter is melted to liquidy too… if u add liquid to some form of powdered textured sugar there’s no two ways it won’t become a creamy texture… :) unless u use like granulated sugar that won’t melt into the butter..it has to be like the super fine brown sugar x
Hey Erica, I usually keep them for a week max. Make sure they cool down completely before putting them in a Tupperware… you can pop them in the fridge too if u live in a hot country…i live in Scotland so the temperature is quite cool
Again..the cookies did not drop & spread like these, they only slightly spread & stay somewhat puff.. I followed the measurements. What am I doing wrong?? Please help
Thank you so much for the update :) glad they came out chewy!! Hopefully next time they are thinner but if not doesn’t matter as long as it’s yummy and chewy right?! X
Just type in oven conversion charts online and see what the heating for your oven is - just google this... also mine is 3D heating you can also google this too :)
is it okay to use palm sugar (but the texture is not like the video, but more like sugar) instead of brown sugar? I'm scared that it gonna be too sweet
Hi I’ve never really tried palm sugar but maybe you can google the substitute ratio to brown sugar and try it…if u do can u please update me if it came out good!?
We always get liquid-y dough when we cook yet follow the instructions almost exactly. What are we doing wrong? We extra added flour to our last batch to coarse it a bit but they came out kind of okay.
The only liquid source in the ingredients is either melted butter (maybe leave it to cool down a bit before adding to sugar so it doesn’t melt that and instead form a crystally icing texture as seen in vdo) and second is the egg just use a medium/large egg so not too much yolk…. Hope you can try again and it works…but adding that amount of flour to it it shouldnt go watery at all - so try to see if the butter is like lava or not and just melted all the sugar mixture…leave it to cool a little before adding to sugar so it forms the sugar instead if melting it all if that makes sense :)
Make sure you are not using the crystallised brown sugar…use the sandy/powdery texture brown sugar … if liquid is mixed with Sandy texture there is noway it will not be ‘creamy & liquidy’ good luck :)
There’s no tips for this recipe just follow the recipe to the exact in grans and don’t “overmix” ... flour in each county is different too so if it does not flatten try to lessen the flour a bit..because it is very easy to over measure flour when using cups so ide suggest measuring in grams on a kitchen scale... flour and butter have to be exact for the cookies to flatten like mine

try less flour. measuring cups vary and most people overpack them so it's best to weigh if possible and do not overmix the dough. also check that your baking soda is not expired.
Try measuring everything accurately and don’t over mix dough as gluten releases and can cause this...make sure you are using all purpose flour not bread flour... follow the grams in description box as cup sizes might be different!
Why 160C but not 180C? Sorry, I just never cooked cookies at that temperature before 😅 I thought they would probably end up under cooked (I'm using tbsp sizes for mine btw)
lower temp + slightly longer bake makes for a better spread. they won't be underbaked because you're still cooking the ingredients, just over a longer period of time. this way they can spread well before the outside of the cookie sets in place which can happen at 350f+ especially with chilled dough and makes for thicker cookies. if you're using small scoops, be sure to lower the time because they will bake much faster.
oh my gosh these are absolutely delicious I can’t even describe how amazing they are like I was a little bit nervous to try another thin chocolate chip cookie recipes because my last one inflated and was nasty but this is absolutely amazing I can’t like I can’t even describe how good this cookie is the 13 dislikes must’ve been a misclick or something because there is no way this only has 500 likes this recipe is literally the best recipe on the planet thank you so much ahhhhh

Hi! For everyone using an oven that has Fahrenheit temperature,
I did 350 degrees for 10 minutes. I also browned the butter before putting it in, it makes a huge difference and the cookies came out perfect, the butter adds a touch of caramel aftertaste!
I also did 350, cuz 320 degrees makes the outside of cookies a little under but 350 is perfect. Also I should try browning the butter

Never open ovens whilst baking a cake / cookies :)
If you do not refrigerate and use a small fruit baller scoop and bake for about 16 minutes, you get a crispy Tate like cookie. Thanks for the recipe.

Sorry, first ever comment on these recipes like this...maybe try again and being very specific with measurements?
I live in Australia, they didn't come out flat are the measurements different?
Grams added...I think we sorted it out ;)
Do we have to let the dough rest for an hour?
If you follow the video the cookies will come out like mine...if you don’t then I can’t guarantee it will x atleast 30mins-1hr

Butter, flour in different countries differ the results
try less flour. measuring cups vary and most people overpack them so it's best to weigh if possible and do not overmix the dough. also check that your baking soda is not expired.

Haha thanks! Hope you like the cookies!
mine did not went flat☹️
Try measuring everything accurately and don’t over mix dough as gluten releases and can cause this...make sure you are using all purpose flour not bread flour... follow the grams in description box as cup sizes might be different!
Why 160C but not 180C? Sorry, I just never cooked cookies at that temperature before 😅 I thought they would probably end up under cooked (I'm using tbsp sizes for mine btw)
Its the recipe. And depends if ur r oven is conventional? Fan forced etc. So convert accordingly
lower temp + slightly longer bake makes for a better spread. they won't be underbaked because you're still cooking the ingredients, just over a longer period of time. this way they can spread well before the outside of the cookie sets in place which can happen at 350f+ especially with chilled dough and makes for thicker cookies.
if you're using small scoops, be sure to lower the time because they will bake much faster.
My cookie didn't get flat like yours. I followed the exact measurement
Sorry to hear…everyone elses seems to be fine…it’s either you are OVERMIXING the dough…good luck
@@preebetts7762 maybe that's it
77th Sub!! :p
You’re telling chewy but I can hear the crisp cookie when you bite into it it is so crunchy. I’d say leave it in the oven for 10-11 min instead of 15.
It’s very Chewy :)
Hello new subbie 160 is the oven temperature not 350 surprised
160c (Fan oven) but if you don't have Celcius then it's 350F (farenheit) Thanks!
I made these and was so upset when my cookie dough ran out
