Kingmere Littlehampton

In 1969 Kingmere and Channel Keep were being built, by the end of 1970 Kingmere marketed as a block of luxury flats was completed.
The original developer planned it to have just 8 floors, that developer ran out of money and couldn't complete so another came along and finished the development provided they could build it to 12 floors, thus providing their profit.

Nice video, I was born that year and still live near Littlehampton, nice to see the Beach Hotel at the end, Im looking for pictures of the old camp site where Tesco now stands , spent a lot of child hood up there. Cheers.

Loved the footage of the kids playing on the dumper truck , can remember doing that myself when Beaumont park was going up in the late 70s !
