I love this episode, my ex and I went through something very much like this evolving a pan in the sink. Episodes like this is why this show was so great.
The best part of that whole scene was one Deborah suggested that Marie return the big fork and spoon. Marie then says, “oh, so you’re taking his side now? “How can that not be included here?
Okay yes. I know Marie and Debra always had their………moments. But Marie does care about Debra. Mother-laws have to. They just show they care in different ways. And the fact she never told anyone about those silverware to ONLY Debra and not Amy show how she sees Debra as a strong bigger and better person as a daughter-in law.
I inherited this same spoon and fork from family and have them hanging in my kitchen. I had never seen them before this show and kept them because of Marie. I don’t even know where we got them but they’ve been in the family over 55 years.
1987AnimeBoy I’ve watched this series over and over again. I just love it. I think Marie sees some of her in Debra. In some flashback episodes you can see some of this. I also get the impression she just likes sharing some of her own struggles to help Debra and Ray’s marriage. She’s not always pushy during these moments which I love. She sometimes mentions how awful Frank’s mom was to her so she does her best not to be like her. Plus she is the type to step in and always fix things so expressing ones faults is part of that. I’m probably over thinking this lol But I love the show and characters so much I try to analyze them lol
So I just recently came across this show and I have to say it is absolutely hilarious The humor in this show is brilliant and the voice cast is equally as excellent while sitcoms are usually my kind of show to watch this one i feel like I can actually properly enjoy so far based on the clips of this series that I have seen so far I must say that a couple of them had me laughing apparently it was that humourous when I was watching the first couple of clips from this show This is immediately joining the ranks of my favorite shows list even though I just discovered the very existence of this show

I'm impressed that with all the animosity between Marie and Debra, Marie would have a secret that she would share only with Debra.

The last couple of seasons are great. The writers said that so many of the plots came from their own lives. It's so relatable.
