@tejaswinjain5921As long as there is rising inflation, market will keep punishing those who short the market at higher levels. 😅
These pseudo expert cannot make up their mind for nifty going even further up from here as they have taken short position in nifty future.
Remember, two years who these experts were predicting nifty to slide down to 12,000 but now nifty is at 25,000 level.

I am around 40% into microcap, 30% into smallcap, 10% into midcaps and 20% into largecaps, all in fundamentally sound and growing companies amounting to less than 10. I know this is very aggressive according to Parimal Sir, but till the time my portfolio is small, and the amount of money I want to make, I have to go the risky way. My aim is not to buy a house, or an expensive car, or to retire early, my aim is to generate huge sums of money from the market. If the market falls, I will fall with it, but will rise with it as well if my conviction in my investments turns fruitful.

I have a different take on it. The upfront valuation/returns is a result of the huge number of retail investors coming into the market. Yet, the people investing in the markets would be less than 10% of the population of today. With the retail investors increasing multifold every year, this over valuation may continue for many more years as the cash flow increases. Being an optimist here but also thinking from a different perspective 😉

This is not your ratio. Ratio must be based on stock investment not fund investment. Your midcap and small caps funds also have 20-30% exposure to large caps and flexi caps are anyways pseudo large caps only. So your actual allocation mid and small cap stocks, which I feel, will be less than 30%.

    Hi Parimal,
What will happen after 3-4 years is a time correction for long time, not only in small and mid, but the entire market.
So it's better to remain in small and mid now and make returns upwards of 25% cagr in order to be ready to face that time correction after 3-4 years.
You won't see a crash of 20-30% in the next 3-4 years unless a dramatic event takes place (govt fall, war escalation, next covid, some covid like unforseen)

3 things: 1. If there's no financial goal to achieve, then 100% microcap is ok? 2. As long as sip is there in the present level, infact level will only increase, retailers wish will carry on. 3. Untill FII arrives in big way large cap will be laggards and useless to block your money.
As for retail stock traders/holders, there's no CAP but only the price of the stock. For retailers under 10 is penny, under 50 micro, under 200 small, under 500 mid and all above 500 will be large. Cap is only a mere meaningless term for them.
Is the cagr told here with or without sitaram?

It doesn't work like that. Pehli baat har kisi ke goals alag hote. Agr koi 20% CAGR bnana chahta toh kyun large cap mein lena. Also agr koi fund house chotta hai and achi companies pick kr rha 25% growth wali, toh 20% CAGR is doable even with current valuations. High growth companies apna PE retain kr leti hain. 1 saal na bhi chala tab bhi it's okay. It will make up in the mext year.
Aur agr direct stock investing kr skte toh best hai. Bas track krte raho.

Ye baat sahi hai ki high growth apna high pe maintain kar lega. Par ye sustainable nhi hai. Unlimited growth with the same business model possible nhi hai. In the end population growth, spending power and economic growth milkar upper limit har industry ka determine karte hai.
Ultimately either growth corrects or pe corrects. Kyunki pe growth se jyada fast bhagta hai.
Infosys ka example bahut famous hai 200 ke PE par chalta tha 100% yoy growth lekin eventually dono chije correct ho gayi par ha long term me still multibagger hai 👍

Agar large cap me hi daalna hai toh fund manager ko expense ratio kyun bharun...... Small cap me invest karke fund manager ko expense ratio bharunga taki woh entry exit ka dhyan rakhe situation k hisab se aur extra alpha generate kar sake and at the same time downside risk ko manage kar sake during market crash

Right now. Smallcap is overvalued. Many big Fund houses stopped accepting bulk amount investment. Smallcap already gave more than 70% in this year. It is very unlikely to Smallcap perform like this from now. At least for 2-3 years, there should be some kind of consolidation or correction to go back again in Small/Mid caps.
