I'm just about learning to fly with the same glider Pi3... that's what I want to do next year! Thanks for the inspiration! I climbed up the Eiger and Mönch, so next time I want to see them flying by...
Nice! Was there still the really scary bit with no security and very exposed? Or is it now secured? If memory serves, somewhere around the section 31 seconds on your video: ua-cam.com/video/fWisu-WuQbs/v-deo.html p.s. Congratulations on a super tour!
Hi Andrew, thank you! At 31'' it was very exposed, but there were some ropes, technically no problem, may be mentally. At 1'36, before reaching the rock - we hat to pass this melting snowbridge, you see down there. That was scary. I'm sure with the warm days meanwhile it won't be a problem now. I've seen your Hexensteig - Video with Dario. Very nice! All the best!
I've also been there. The part at 00:31 is exposed, yes, but not really that much more exposed or difficult than the path just before. Altogether it's just exposed for quite a long time. The passage in the video is equiped with chains or an (older) rope nowadays. Some years ago there was nothing there but after this section where you stop traversing but going up, there are still no chains and I thought that this passage was the most difficult / dangerous. The new chains, I guess, haven't been installed by someone who takes care of the path to the hut. At least the custodian of the hut told me so about 6 years ago. He thought that they were installed by some paragliders.
