- As a shop that sells more Trail Mountain bikes than anything else, the Trance and Trance X specifically couldn't be of more interest or excitement.
In this video we're looking at the details and features of the 2024 Giant Trance X2 and showing you why we are excited about this bike, from design to adjustments, improvements made (from the 2023) and specifications.
This is a $3899 CND bike that appears to not be available in the USA.
Weight is 34.3 lbs for the size medium we filmed. - Спорт
These guys seem to be the only content creators who can make a good bike review. Not only that but the bikes are the affordable for 90% of us. I picked up my giant trance 29 because of the bike Bros review. Not tonight, buddy Everyone is tired of starting a pink bike review and then realizing that, “oh wait this is the $9000 model!”
Thank you. I really appreciate this comment.
Ordered the X3 from my local bike shop yesterday. I can’t wait to get the call that it’s in and ready for pickup.
This was very helpful. Thank you!
Awesome. Thanks.
It's the most in depth walk around I've seen yet, I went to see it in person but they didn't have one, they didn't have any 2024 yet...
O have a Commencal meta now, but I had a reign before, and I’m looking forward to get the new reign carbon frame because I loved so much my previous reign and now it comes with 160 mm travel on the rear
Thanks for the info, most of the main mtb content people skip Giants. I am looking to replace my 2014 trance 2 27.5 this summer/end of season. Really looking at the Trance X 1 (in the US), Commencal Tempo and 2024 Norco fluid. I'd love to know the weight of the X 1, probably not much difference but 32-34lbs is average for 140-150mm alloy trail bikes. Not a fan of carbon after my buddy cracked his stumpjumper just sliding out on a flat rocky turn.
I still have my 2018 Trance 2 with the 27.5 wheels. Still a great bike. I have upgraded the shifter and RD to XT and replaced the rear Float DPS with a Fox Float X. However, the stock dropper post needs to be replaced and would like to upgrade the stock rims. Now, Giant releases these new Trance X models and I am torn between what I will do next. Only thing I am not certain on is moving to 29 inch wheels. I am 5'8" and ride a medium but thinking maybe a small size with the 29r. In the US market, that Trance X1 for $3700 is looking very interesting. Excellent reviews by the way.
Really tempted by the new x 1 as well, I also have an older 27.5 trance. The new X 1 has good components for the price, also that raw finish looks so good.
It was a nice bike. I sold it to my brother and he’s still using it.
US has a few shops with the x1 yet Id have to travel to flagstaff to purchase. Can't wait to start adventuring Az on one of these. Your review just sealed the deal, thx!!
Thanks bro 👍
Welcome 👍
Wish they would put the giant name on the downtube. I'm not a fan of the stealth branding. It doesn't need to be a high contrast affair but it needs to be there.
I agree. Someone thought I was on a YT because of the colors and similar head badge... I was actually insulted!
@@BikeBrosBikeShop hah ! send a screenshot of this comment thread to Giant HQ asap
There's are sick 🔥
Indeed, seems to have better specs too, pretty bummed about the stock parts on my 2023, hope they improved
Thinking switching to this from a canyon neuron as i hit more rougher terrain. I wonder when and what types will be available in the hungarian market. Would u recommend this to bike parks as well? Thanks!
Hi, thanks for watching. I'd personally love it at a bike park but I tend to go for the jump trails, as opposed to gnarly steeps/rocks/roots. If you were more into that steep/roots/rock stuff I think a bike with more travel would be best.
I'm fresh out of warranty on my 2023 trance x29. I did find a 200x55 shock, wonder if it'll hit... 😂
Edit: new rims are a great thing but to me it was the only part of the wheelset that was worth something I put my 9velo mt30 wheels on the trance x29 since the giant HG body "in house" rear hub had developed play after only a couple hours of use, LBS wasn't able to fix it so I ditched them, the AM29 rims where perfectly fine, I'd say even bombproof I polished them & mounted them on DT 350's (clones) they are now on my son's habit...
I forgot to mention, the new wheels now have 6 pawls and 5 degrees of engagement so the factory wheels inspire much more confidence than the old ones.
Maestro is better than Specialized and Trek's suspension, imo. Giant make bikes for Trek and Scott also from what I understand
And 60% of the boutique and direct to consumer brands like Canyon and Commencal.
Also the patent on maestro ran out a couple of years ago which is why you are seeing a bunch of the smaller brands come out with similar 4 bar in recently updated bikes.
Yes it is. I’m always fighting with some friends over this and they haven’t even rode a giant bike. I had a trance and a reign and they were really good bikes. No shock setup with tokens needed, like I had to do on the Commencal I have now.
I have seen some 2023 models on sale since the 2024 just came out. Is there that big of a difference than the 5mm travel? Would a 2023 x1 for the same price as a 2024 x2 be a better buy?
I think the 2023 is still an excellent bike and worth considering at the sale price. The 5mm travel won't be noticed. All you really miss out on is the downtube storage and headset adjustment but other than that (and a third position for the rear flip-chip), the 2023 geometry was great and so were the parts.
@@BikeBrosBikeShop great! Thank you for the reply.
