I don’t understand why someone would go thru the trouble of doing this to a rug on purpose just to waste what is probably expensive materials to keep in shop to clean rugs or anything. That would be bananas.

What is that blue soap in the tank of your disc scrubber? What was it designed to clean? Should I get some for everyday household use?
It is a washing agent with a neutral PH, it is used for the initial release of dirt.

What do people do to these rugs?? It looks like they roll them in black dirt and mud before you clean them and they are beautiful rugs!!
The rugs can come from a garden, garage or a construction site. People use rugs in those areas as entrance matts, usually in places where the walking path gets muddy, for ex in greenhouses or on sandy floor in construction sites. A carpet helps to not get dirty in mud

To Blair - rugs this dirty come out of flooded homes all the time. Hope you never have to deal with that type of situation
