As an archaeology student, this is very cool to see material culture rendered into Minecraft! It would be very cool to see a Mesopotamian/Near East mod as well, but that's just my regional preference lol.
Have just built first two buildings in a Roman urbs on a fabric modpack, but it seems that I now have a really good reason to start from scratch. Excellent mod, gratias multas tibi!
The last thing i need now, is a roman military mod, as in armors, and weapons, and siege weapons, shields that actually look like scuta with a curved surface and horizontal grips instead of the vertical ones, and that are actually wielded as scuta should be instead of the Minecraft 'classical shield' grip. various periods of roman history, from the early hoplites of the kingdom era, or the hastati, the early legionaries of the republic, and then the empire eras, the various crisis included the third century crisis. This and so much more. This is a roman civil mod, not a warfare mod, and it should stay like this, but a separate mod, maybe a block as a placeable scutum, or the Aquila and the insigna to place inside the principia. Maybe animations too: stabbing animations, 'executions', shield blocking, particular animations like raising a scutum like in a testudo; or throwing the pila, and so on.
I'd recommend taking a look at the RomeCraft II pack by Atexur; they're currently working to finish it up and includes a ton of custom shields, scutums, hoplons, etc! Would love to see a collaboration between the two
@ave789 already tried that, but they do not really work well with conquest if i Remember correctly from last time i tried, plus, it's a texture pack, it's great don't get me wrong, but it's not what i am looking for, you know? The closest i got to the 'accurate' scutum was by using the "armourer's workshop mod" (which for me is like black magic)
@aeolianthecomposer and yet its the predominant platform where most all content has always come on-- darn, guess we really never had modded until just a couple years ago then
I can’t believe we’re actually getting the Magister Craft Roman mod, this is so hype
Right!
It's finally coming out!! 😁🙌 Let's go Magister! Congratulations!!

Euge! Optime, gratias tibi ago!
Does this mod add femboys?

lost interest the second it was mentioned to be fabric; damn.
Forge sucks anyways
