Thanks for sharing all your projects, you going to have to live to a 100 to get them all done !! Beautiful patterns and work. The light by the way was fine and throw those pencils away !! I love the one of the girl who you said looked like you, its a shame you won't finished it. I look forward to your vlogs on the Austin retreat, I love watching what everyone gets up too ! Thanks again and look forward to your next video ! xx
Oh my gosh! You are so me!!! LOL!!! I am a huge lurker/groupie! I am feel like I am at work all the time so I do get to watch Flosstube but I am not at all as prolific as you all are. I am so excited to organize and make project bags and get a rotation and all those good things that I admire so much in all the Flosstube celebs who I love to watch. And it's too late now. I am subscribed to you because Kay of Kay's Cross Stitch shouted you out and led me to your video. I am sooooo envious of you all headed to the Flosstube Retreat! How awesome to play with the cool kids!!! :) I enjoyed your video and personality. I'm glad you broke down and did a video. Who knows....maybe someday I'll get enough courage and have enough work to show someone in a video, too!
Beth Gibson I spent weeks talking to myself in a mirror to get over the nerves! Now I’m actually looking forward to the next video-even though I’ve not had much time for stitching since. Thanks for watching!
Just discovered your fist video the other day. Nice job. You were funny, "genuine" and charming. I LOVED it that you are not all about finishes. I too enjoy the process, and - yes; would love to finish my WIPs - some day, but perfectly okay if I don't finish all of them. I am looking forward to watching your next videos.
Welcome to Flosstube! Great first video. I can tell when you speak about your HAEDs you are in love. I always admire those who can stitch them! Looking forward to seeing you in Austin!
OMG I've never seen anyone use the printed DMC number and clear tape it to the bobbin!! I do that too (: oooh and funny story when you mentioned Chicago my ears perked, I'm from there
Helloooo! I loved your first video,,,you're a natural! I really hope you do more! 25 count Lugana is my favorite, too, and lately I've been using mushroom for every,,,single,,,thing! Oh, do finish Hope,,,I think the marks will dull down when you wash it. I use a spool of my grandmother's thread to make my grids, it's a poly and it's soooo easy to slip it out when I'm done. Anyway, can't remember what other brilliant comments I was going to say,,,so yes! Make more videos! And please let us know all about your retreats!
Great first video! Kind of fun to start with a WIP parade so we have a nice idea of your style. I love all your full coverage - reminds me of me! Looking forward to next time!
Love Love Love your video. The last project you showed the calender with the cat. What pattern is it? Where can I found it? And what color is it and brand you use for color on fabric?
Welcome to Floss Tube! Your first video was interesting and entertaining. It takes courage to do the first video, I imagine. Check out Ginger Gerald. He hasn't made a video in a while, however, in maybe 2019, he did the Old World map. It is gorgeous!
I enjoyed your video! I remember your Linens and Things piece from IG! Love those colors. It's great to "meet" you! The John James Tapestry Petites are my favorite needles, too. I'm from Wichita, and when I go back to visit family, I always visit Heart's Desire! What a great shop. You have beautiful stitching, and I look forward to seeing your progress!
It was fun to see your video since I also moved to DFW from Illinois in 2009! We have since moved on but loved my time there. Do you go to the Stitch Niche?
Wow....I began to cross stitch at the Stitch Niche over 30 years ago. I stopped CS when my children were involved in sports, church and school activities and then got into quilting for a few years. About 3 years ago I found a cross stitch shop not too far from my home (6 blocks) and met a group of wonderful ladies. The shop closed 18 months ago and now we meet in my home every Thursday, 2:00-8:00.....some weeks there are 6 of us and others there may be 14. Would love for you to come. One of the ladies comes from Southlake, one from Ennis and a couple from Flower Mound. Occasionally, I have them over on a Saturday. I have discovered an amazing group of women with a common "thread" and have enjoyed it so much. Enjoyed your video and have subscribed.
I loved this flosstube. It was wonderful to hear about you, your history and your stitching. You and I share a love of starts. :-) However, WIPS do become finishes and it's not a contest to see how fast you can finish---enjoy the journey. I did subscribe and I hope we have many more posts from you. I would love to see your other needlework (crocheting and quilting) and progress on whatever you stitch on during the time you are absent. I hope you have fun at your retreat and that you will share that with us. Your video quality and sound were fine, not prefect, but then again what is perfect? What you choose to share is the important thing. I am a lurker but I have been stitching for 40+ years (I started when I was very young :-)) . We share a love for HAED, Mirabilia, and samplers. Take care and come back as you have time.
Another great video. I love that Brenda Gervais piece. You are a natural. Thank you for taking the time to make videos. Look forward to hearing about your trip to see all the samplers.
I live in the DFW area too. Sadly, there are no needlework stores around me anymore. What is the store in Arlington? I would love to check it out. Thanks for your video
Sandycat The Stitch Niche is in Arlington. There’s a group on Facebook called Stitch Niche friends. We meet up monthly to stitch and enable each other. You should join us.
Welcome to flosstube. I love the haeds you have. Excited to see any projects you work on. Try using a water erasable marker to avoid lasting marks, I am using it on a haed and it is working well. I don't have any white on it but I have tried washing it out and it worked really well.
I watched your video a month ago or so, but wasn't logged in so I couldn't subscribe. And than when I was logged in, I couldn't find your video anymore. I was really annoyed by that. But I finally found it. So now I hope you do more video's. Love your work and really enjoyed your first flosstube.
I am just getting to get into stitching groups online I think that it is way cool!! Won't be able to travel but am meeting so many people online!! I love stitching have been doing it for 30 years since I was 8!! Thanks for showing your work!!
Welcome to FlossTube Christina. Love your Madonna and Child. It's absolutely stunning. Have you thought about donating some of the kits you are no longer interested in stitching to a local nursing home? Many of the people who live there were once needleworkers too but for lack of funds can't afford to do it today. Just a thought. You really have a lot of WIPS. I've enjoyed your video and subscribed to your channel. Hoping to see you again soon.
Love all your wips and finishes. The Asian lady is gorgeous. You have so much stitching to do.
Thanks for sharing all your projects, you going to have to live to a 100 to get them all done !! Beautiful patterns and work. The light by the way was fine and throw those pencils away !!
