Thanks for the video. I started this procedure and it dawned on me to simply loosen both sensors right at the brake levers. You can actually loosen them little by little and achieve power cut out at any point. Now if you squeeze my levers all the way tight, the power cuts out, but during any normal use, I still have power. And, everything is still hooked up and intact and if I want to restore the safety cutout, I can just screw the sensors back to their original position. And it only took like 3 minutes.
You guys do some great videos on these bikes. Wife and I have 1 each. Doing the seat mod and the brake sensors on mine. Only thing I gotta say is use the correct wrenches! Crescent wrench is last resort or to beat on shit you don't care about. Sorry but every time I see a crescent wrench being used on anything besides an old lawnmower my brain says WTF. Keep up the great videos!
@@jonathan-gi1rzI think he means to say if you leave your bike locked (i.e. not cutting the brown wire nor doing the unlock button sequence) then these sensors are mandatory for the bike to run
Do you guys recommend the shinko 244's? i ride 50% street and 50% off road. only thing im concerned about are people saying the tire is super heavy and drains your battery a lot

This video no longer applies!! I'm a fan of you men, and Thank You Hugely for all the videos. I watched your stuff many times before I finally decided to commit and buy an MX4. And SO: I ordered mine on 12/3/23 and received it on 12/7/23. I'm including that info because there has been a change in design, and I'm not certain when that change occurred. On my new bike, the wiring has changed and now resembles a combined harness instead of smaller wire groupings. The Brake Sensor wires no longer have individual connectors but are harnessed into an 8-10 pin unified connector. My solution: I decided to remove the outer frame sensors and wires fully (as you did), but I cut the wires where they entered the harness. I left an inch showing, removed the outer insulator, cut ONE of the wires shorter by 1/2" (so they won't accidentally touch and stop my motor!), wrapped the stubby thing in electrical tape, and put a cable tie around the tape (yes, I'm being OCD ;-). So, wires are still removed, but protecting them from accidental connection took a bit of fiddling. FYI.
Hey man thanks for watching the channel! Ya this video is specific for the older Talaria MX3 we did an updated video for the Talaria Sting R which is what you bought. Anyway enjoy the new ride and congrats on the purchase! Welcome to the club
Yes but you cannot trace the wires inside the bike and unplug them, they are direct wired in so you have to just unplug them from the brake and tuck them away.
Hey my brake regen is not working on the talaria do you guys have any reason why or is there something else I have to be besides just click the up arrow to increase it.
Hey guys I was wondering would it be a good idea to have just one break sensor or would I have to remove both. Cause I'm thinking about learning how to do wheelies and I heard you have to remove the sensors in order to do so but if I could just remove the rear and still keep the front brake for that safety feature or would I have to remove both ?
Does this still method still apply to the xxx if I just ordered one recently ? I see a few comments down someone said they have now changed the harness on the mx3/4 and this method no longer works
Yes you can unplug the brake sensors but they will not unplug from the actual wire harness. You’ll need to just tuck them down away or zip tie them to other wires.

Hi guys, thanks for the tip; in my opinion those sensors are dangerous. I'll try your tuto next week 😉
Hi do you get error codes to say there’s a issue mine throws up a error code
same for the mx5? thanks
Do you have problems with turning the breaker switch back on ? Mines does wanna turn back to the on any tips ?
No it should just flip back on

Just remember to do the engine/controller/power unlock before removing the sensors.
wdym?

Where is the set screw? I got eveything located and took off but can’t find the screw even got the long screw out
Is this for talaria sting mx3 ?
Yes
@@Talariaboys one more queston do you have to take the battery off
But without this sensors, the break light no more works right?
My brake lights have never worked, are they supposed to? My brake light is just on 24/7. It doesn't get any brighter or anything when I apply brake.

same problem did this fix it?@@nomoneynohoney3086
So now yo don't have any breaking light?
Will you do this on the XxX too?
Yes we did the same thing, except on the xxx the wires just unplug about 8in down the wire. So you don’t need to dig inside the bike at all.
Thanks! great video

@Talariaboys Ah!! My apologies!! Please point me to the updated MX4 video (I can't seem to find it). Thanks.
Thank you Brothers
How do I put it back in not working for me
are you on string mx4?
Is this the same for the x3

Hey my brake regen is not working on the talaria do you guys have any reason why or is there something else I have to be besides just click the up arrow to increase it.
You just click the arrow up to level 4 and thats the highest youll get, It doesnt ever feel like a ton but does help slow you down a bit.
make sure you're chain is tight. if chain too loose it will not be smooth and the regen won't really do much
I did it and now my talaria will not go it’s stuck on wait
my screw is stripped. it won’t turn i don’t know how to do then
There is a set screw you need to take out. Try using vice grips on the screw
