Literally crying watching how happy everyone is when they watch the reveal. I hardly play smash ultimate but sora is the character I've always wanted in smash. He's deserved to be there for over a decade.
Thank you! This is exactly what I wanted. The fandom for Kingdom Hearts has really grown over the years I can feel the love from all the tears people are shedding and the excitement. Kingdom Hearts is a franchise that has brought us all together. I’m so happy for this victory and finally having our favorite and beloved Key Blade wielder in Smash! We freaking won! Thank U Sakurai ♥️
The more I watch Sora flying with the music playing, it feels like it came straight from a Disney movie. This is the most majestic and heartwarming thing I've ever seen in a Super Smash Bros. trailer.
The thing is, Smash started as a game where you got to play with all your favorite childhood game characters. As the years went on, the people who played it as kids got older, and the games largely reflect that. Sora was the main character in a lot of other kids' favorite childhood game, and even for older people they got to play with Disney characters from their childhood. And Sora himself embodies the childlike innocence and optimism so many remember having when playing the first Kingdom Hearts. Maybe I'm crazy, but that's what makes him the best character to finish off Smash Ultimate.
This is exactly what I think Sakurai meant by "This is a moment for all gamers." Like even if some aren't a fan of KH, Sora (just like in his games) is the inner kid in us all getting to meet childhood characters. And he's having the honor to play and fight along all of our other favorite childhood/iconic videogame characters. He's iconic, a childhood character, and technically a proxy for us lol.
Nail on the freaking head, man. I might have moved away from the KH games over the years but I & II will always have a soft spot in my heart and this reveal brought back those same feelings from those early days of the series. All the character reveal trailers were great. But Sora's reveal trailer felt the most magical. The music, how he came in like he's about to bring new life into the game. This was deserved and I'm glad they actually pulled it off.
At the end of the direct I shed a couple tears. Smash has been a part of my life since melee. It's how I met a lot of my closest friends and to think it's finally over.
There's just something about how the music is when he's flying, it's like "all my time waiting was worth it for this grand entrance" definitely one of the best character reveals.
I'd say that this and Sephiroth were my favorites; what you said about Sora reflects what I'm thinking as well, and Sephiroth's felt like a "this is the climax, everyone. It's getting bigger now," or something in that sort. It's awesome to finally see him in!

makes even more sense since KH is also a fanservice-focused series. in a game all about bringing in characters from many different worlds, what would make more sense than a character that travels to and brings light to so many worlds beyond his own?
The music, the way Sora floats in and then starts flying around, knowing how he loves to go to new worlds and how everyone is there to greet him, it's all very Kingdom Hearts and I love it. It literally feels so much like a cutscene straight from the game complete with the feels.

people don't truly grasp where this much love for Sora in smash came from. This all started back in Brawl with the player survey for who people wanted to be the next hero and Sora was #1 on that list, with Etika being the biggest rally behind that voice. They did this for the magical send off Smash truly needed, which was going back to its roots, and bringing that inner childhood out in every single person who played, and to reignite that memory of the player who ruled the world before we lost him.
Fun fact: This isn't even the first time Disney and Nintendo have partnered up. As early as the late 60's thay did a collaboration where Nintendo licensed Mickey Mouse playing cards in Japan (Before they became a video game maker. They've been around since 1889.) You can say Sora and Mario's handshake is Disney and Nintendo rekindling their grievances.
@@monstercombo007 Also, Nintenho had the Epic Mickey franchise for the Wii, Wii U and 3DS. And then Nintendo also had some Kingdom Hearts Games exclusive to them at the time, such as CoM, Coded, 358/2 and Dream Drop Distance.
Even as someone who hasn't played much the KH games (yet), I confess... I teared up heavily from a lot of their reactions. Goes to show you how much Sora and the KH series means to them and the millions of other fans. Absolute respect to Nintendo's choice of the final character. Beautifully presented.
A lot of people were hoping for Sora to come to Smash. I was one of ‘em. And it’s nice and very heartwarming to see that so many people have finally gotten the character they’ve been wanting in Smash.
Sora’s light literally woke everyone up from the darkness. He descends down on the crowd like an angel and that says A LOT to his character and to what Kingdom Hearts means to us fans of the game 😭
For me the best came first with joker but seeing how happy the fans are and how unlikely it was to be him i say he is the perfect character to end the DLCs.
Having grown up playing the kingdom hearts series I never would’ve imagined, sora getting into smash. He never once crossed my mind and I even doubted people who kept saying and predicting he’d be in smash, but after today I began to literally tear up as it hit me that someone who grew up along side me became apart of a video game series I played religiously. Thank you so much, Sakurai for this amazing final character and last send off to ultimate.
My exact thought process through the reveal (keep in mind I was very very skeptical of Sora being in Smash) Sees burning Keyblade: Wait... Is that... No it can't be Mickey Emblem appears: *mind explodes*
Honestly, this is up there as one of the best reveals to me. It's so magical and gives me a warm feeling I am genuinely close to crying...seeing all of these KH fans breaking down in tears of joy (and I NEVER even played KH) Smash is such an anomaly, I'm so happy I got to experience Ultimate from start to finish
I love seeing everyone’s pure raw reaction as they hear that song start and feel all of the memories they’ve had with this game, with their friends and family talking about this game. It’s such a powerful franchise and I’m so happy to finally see the king of crossovers in the “ultimate” crossover! 😌💕 I never lost hope for my boy sora ✨
The game that came out when I was born and I have loved the game more than anything ever since not because it’s my birthday but because the game just has that feeling the feeling that can make a grown man cry
Here we are ladies and gentlemen, the finale of Smash Ultimate. These 3 years have been crazy since its initial release, all the way to fighter pass 2. Let's hope that whenever the next Smash game gets announced, it will be a big one, and we will all rejoice once more for this awesome event. Until next time, friends.
The shear amount of happy tears is really heart warming and goes to show how impactful this reveal was plus this was one of the most wholesome smash dlc trailers ever which was perfectly topped off by Sora and Mario shaking hands they couldn't have done a better job revealing sora
I think Sakurai has definitely earned his rest after all the Super Smash Bros games he brought us. We can carry on his legacy through both the Super Smash Bros series and all the games the Smashers came from, including Kingdom Hearts, Xenoblade Chronicles, Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Sonic, Pokemon, and more. God Bless You, Mr. Sakurai, and thank you for all you brought us with Super Smash Bros over the years.

I love playing smash and the fact Sora is the final character legit made me cry.... I played kingdom hearts in high-school and because of that game... it helped me so much through my depression from the harrrasment from school. Literally this game made me believe good things will come and this game pulled me through those tough times. I am legitimately happy and crying ❤❤❤
I wouldn’t say I’m a huge kingdom hearts fan, but I do really love the games, and it just feels like Sora getting into smash is just the perfect closure to Smash. It really closes the game off so well. What a masterpiece of a game this is
It's really interesting to see how many people who know NOTHING of Kingdom Hearts, say they felt all warm and fuzzy when Sora was revealed. That's....That's Sora. You hear his name, you can't help but smile. You hear his theme, you can't help but feel hopeful. You think of what the character went through in Kingdom Hearts up to the third game....You can't help but feel ELATED that he's finally able to just relax and have fun in a tournament. Sora is a character that represents innocence, and friendship and hope and light. And the reveal was done perfectly. Sora is a character that represents innocence, and friendship and hope and light. And it's just such a fitting note to end on. I can't really think of any other way to end these reveals and end this game other than on a note of light and hope-especially CONSIDERING the main theme of this Smash is LITERALLY CALLED Lifelight. It's too perfect lol.
You know what is amazing about Sora's release. The way he came out, flying around like a free spirit is as if Sakurai is telling us all is now he is free from this game forever. The Music and sora's appearance is a perfect ending for Sakurai's Exit and standing ovation. The kind of ending that will certainly put a tear to us all. Some may not approve of Sora but let's admit it where we all can now say farewell to the man who started this all, gave us an amazing childhood, teenhood and adulthood. Made so much memories. Thank you sakurai and Nintendo Team for this awesome gaming gift.
I love watching these reaction videos! I'm not the biggest fan of Kingdom Hearts, but watching this compilation of streamers jubilant reaction to Sora being introduced to Smash Bros. They all brought a smile to my face, and a tear to my eye. I love this!
I've seen hype reactions in the past but I think this is legit the first time people have cried over the character reveal. What a hype way to end Ultimate's production
As a Kingdom Hearts fanboy, grew up with Kingdom Hearts, literally my #1 favorite franchise, I could NOT hold back tears. Before the keyhole was even formed in the trailer I was already fighting with my tears. Not even in public could I hold back tears, especially with Hikari as the background music. My throat would get all tight and shit. An absolutely fucking immeasurable victory for Sora and Kingdom Hearts fans around the world. This is the best gaming moment I'll probably ever have in my life.
Love how even those who weren’t waiting for him acknowledged the joy it brought so many people. Not to mention the absolute shit they must’ve went through to get him in the game to begin with
1-i hate leaks 2-this is by far the most EXPENSIVE Smash Bros. Character and i don't mean price to get him i mean how much Sakurai and Nintendo had to pay Disney
It's not just price, it's also loads of meetings and disagreements until eventually you finally get a green light out of a greedy CEO's cold dead hands. It's making sure that the property is respected.
Kingdom Hearts will always hold a special place no joke in my heart. The game dropped when I was about 6 or 7 I'm 25 now and to this day I will continue to say that kingdom heart is my favorite game series of all time. It's because of this game I met some of the pein my life I've gone from calling just simple friends to now calling them brothers and sisters. To see a beloved character from my childhood make it into this game means far more to me that most know and to see all the people react with tears of joy at the reveal is one of the most uplifting feelings I've ever had.

Yo, I cried. Mostly because I hold KH SO close to my heart, I was 12 in 2002 when it first came out on PS2 and now I'm 33. It's AMAZING how it's still going, much like The Nightmare before Christmas.
I have no attachment to Sora. None at all. But despite that, I can see that he's the perfect character to cap off this game. He's loved by those both Japan and the West. The whole point of his games is to bring together multiple properties (Disney and Final Fantasy). He is the perfect final character, and the most requested at that. There is no game, past or present, than can come close to the love and care that Sora (the company) and Nintendo have poured into this game. Every DLC character (except maybe Byleth) has so much care and attention put in to every single aspect of their design, moveset, and stage that even the creators or developers of some of these characters will need to step up their game.
@@BJGvideos nah man. I LOVE Fire Emblem Three Houses, and Byleth felt like a rushed addition, like they had something else planned that fell though. Here's what I mean: Joker got a stage that changes depending on the music. Important because the music is one of the best parts of Persona. Along with a unique counter mechanic. Hero got reskins instead of just color pallet changes, along with a very unique (albeit incredibly broken at launch) ability that mimics the games he's from. Banjo's trailer got the Rare treatment, meaning characters that Rare has made games for showed up in the trailer. Terry got a huge moveset and his stage alone shows how much the development team cares about the source material. Steve has a whole new mechanic that required them to rework every stage in the game. Sephiroth is Sephiroth, the thought impossible character to get because Square Enix. And Cloud got a new final smash. Pyra/Mythra reintroduced the form change that is a huge plot point in their games. Kazuya, like Terry, got a huge moveset and unique mechanics that align with his games. By comparison, Byleth (and Min Min to a lesser extent) feel like "base game" characters - characters that should have been added when the game was released. They don't FEEL like DLC. No special treatment, no unique gimics, no major changes to how the game is played. Hell, half their moveset isn't even from FETH and is just bog-standard "anime sword fighter" moveset. Don't get me wrong, I love Byleth. They're one of my mains. But that reveal, the stage, and the character itself doesn't feel like they got the same treatment as the other characters. It feels like they had to fill a slot, and used a first party character to quickly fill it.
@@BJGvideos I don't mean it was bad. It just doesn't seem like there was as much love dumped on Byleth. Maybe it's because there's just less they could do with them based on the source material. Maybe it's because they had less time to put their character together (I'm fairly certain Byleth was a replacement, because it's a weird character to end a DLC pack on). By no means is it bad. It just doesn't feel like they got the full DLC treatment.
I’ve been playing smash since 64 and played every KH game. I’ve wanted Sora in smash since before Brawl. I didn’t think this would ever happen because of Disney having such a tight grip on properties. I’m so happy he finally made it. Also when that orchestral music kicks in, it’s impossible not to get emotional if you’ve followed the kh series. It’s used as the intro for Dream Drop Distance, which gorgeously encapsulates all the major moments of the series before itself and the long awaited KH3.

After the trailer I literally can't think about a better character to be the final Dl'c,they made it with a lot of care,it's beautiful and the music it's fricking perfect,11/10
@@brandonjeffery8023 personally I would have loved if 2B made it.
people don't truly grasp where this much love for Sora in smash came from.
Meh.
The fighters pass was literally based off that man’s request
Never seen so many people drop to their knees and cry during a smash reveal. Hands down the most important character they’ve ever added
Also, Nintendo made some Mickey and Donald Game and Watch systems back in the 80s
Not to mention The World Ends with You, and DDD, and the DS game
Bowser cameoed in Wreck-It Ralph
For now
Even as someone who hasn't played much the KH games (yet), I confess...
I teared up heavily from a lot of their reactions. Goes to show you how much Sora and the KH series means to them and the millions of other fans. Absolute respect to Nintendo's choice of the final character.
Beautifully presented.
And what an execution too. The fading fire, Mario, and finally the music as Sora flies around, the final fighter joining the roster.
Masterclass.
Sora always wanted to see all the worlds out there..this reveal not only feels great but EMOTIONALLY makes this character so much more.
A lot of people were hoping for Sora to come to Smash. I was one of ‘em. And it’s nice and very heartwarming to see that so many people have finally gotten the character they’ve been wanting in Smash.
This is the literal definition of a joy-gasm.
i remember as a kid playing those flash games with sora in them and now he’s here… that’s crazy
I have no attachment to Sora, I almost cried watching this cause of how happy these people are.
Imagine in kh 3 sora disappeared n while we looking for him the whole time he’s in smash world
I wouldn't be surprised if this was canon one way or another in the future
This is what happened to Sora after his fight with Yozora.
I mean, it would also canonize what happened to Cloud and Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts II
Sora’s light literally woke everyone up from the darkness. He descends down on the crowd like an angel and that says A LOT to his character and to what Kingdom Hearts means to us fans of the game 😭
They truly saved the best for last.
For me the best came first with joker but seeing how happy the fans are and how unlikely it was to be him i say he is the perfect character to end the DLCs.
Having Sora as last character for smash actually makes sense seeing as to how the KH games work
The main campaign of Ultimate was called the World of Light.
And we all know what Kingdom Hearts is.
@@legoferrari14 Kingdom Hearts...is light!

The genuine happiness and feelings this brought can't really be grasped. He is without a doubt the best way to end this all.
I saw that Keyblade I cried so badly. Like what a way to end it, thank you Sakurai.
Gotta admit, I cried, I yelled, walked, run, got on my knees and started crying when the song started. So many years for this to happen
Sora look what you did. You made so many people cry (including me).
But I’m so happy. We waited years for him. And he’s here. 😭
Keef def had the best reaction
I BELIEVED ALL THE YEARS I FUCKING BELIEVED
There are only 2 kind of people in this world:
1- Those who know is Sora with the Mickey emblem
2- Those who know is Sora with the burning keyblade
My exact thought process through the reveal (keep in mind I was very very skeptical of Sora being in Smash)
Sees burning Keyblade: Wait... Is that... No it can't be
Mickey Emblem appears: *mind explodes*
And the third is people who saw the particle effects on Mario's trophy looking similar to Kh3.
It’s the Simple and Clean Instrumental version that hits me the most. 🥺
Probably one of the best if not THE best character reveal. Truly amazing.
I love how just the Mickey symbol alone turns any adult into 12 year olds again. :D
Honestly, this is up there as one of the best reveals to me. It's so magical and gives me a warm feeling
I am genuinely close to crying...seeing all of these KH fans breaking down in tears of joy (and I NEVER even played KH)
Smash is such an anomaly, I'm so happy I got to experience Ultimate from start to finish
Not since Sephiroth was revealed have people cried this hard or been this hyped
Nickelodeon: We could release a fighting game & it would get people pretty hyped
Nintendo: Hold my ears 🐭
So amazing! I love when the community comes together to be hype!

@@gamethebunny6303 You ok there bud?
I love seeing everyone’s pure raw reaction as they hear that song start and feel all of the memories they’ve had with this game, with their friends and family talking about this game. It’s such a powerful franchise and I’m so happy to finally see the king of crossovers in the “ultimate” crossover! 😌💕 I never lost hope for my boy sora ✨
Everyone crying is legit making me so happy. Cause I cried super Hard.
I love the fact that the last guy literally starts crying at the fact that Sora is in Smash.
A lot of people cried.
if only etika could have seen how far this game has come
The shear amount of happy tears is really heart warming and goes to show how impactful this reveal was plus this was one of the most wholesome smash dlc trailers ever which was perfectly topped off by Sora and Mario shaking hands they couldn't have done a better job revealing sora
If they make Sora being in Smash CANON in the next Kingdom Hearts, I will LOSE IT.
Watch It be.😂
Knowing what a mad lad Nomura is, he’ll probably damn well try to make it happen at least.

I love playing smash and the fact Sora is the final character legit made me cry.... I played kingdom hearts in high-school and because of that game... it helped me so much through my depression from the harrrasment from school. Sephiroth?
When Sephiroth showed up everyone screamed but when Sora showed everyone started to cry
This made people actually CRY. Oh yeah, this character deserved to be the last and it's obvious he's been wanted forever. Etika would be Proud.

"You're home."
I know Sakurai works himself to near exhaustion to make these games. But in my heart, it all feels like magic. Everything he does feels like magic.
God this is just weirdly wholesome, seeing the sheer joy people had upon realizing Sora is coming to Smash.
THIS IS BEST DAY EVER! SORA IS FINALLY IN SMASH
I've seen hype reactions in the past but I think this is legit the first time people have cried over the character reveal. What a hype way to end Ultimate's production
The last one was so me i started bawling. This was a hell of a way to end it. Thank you Sakurai
I hope you mean "bawling" because boy howdy that changes the context!

Not to mention the absolute shit they must’ve went through to get him in the game to begin with
In these moments of happiness I feel like we're all family, I cried so much watching this
extremely sad Ameterasu Okami didn't make it to Smash, but I pardon since that's for my boi SORA
Glory to King Sakurai
1-i hate leaks
2-this is by far the most EXPENSIVE Smash Bros. Character and i don't mean price to get him i mean how much Sakurai and Nintendo had to pay Disney
It's not just price, it's also loads of meetings and disagreements until eventually you finally get a green light out of a greedy CEO's cold dead hands. It's making sure that the property is respected.

It's because of this game I met some of the pein my life I've gone from calling just simple friends to now calling them brothers and sisters. Yo, I cried. Mostly because I hold KH SO close to my heart, I was 12 in 2002 when it first came out on PS2 and now I'm 33. It's AMAZING how it's still going, much like The Nightmare before Christmas.
8:13 It's been many years since I heard this phrase, from another legend.
I solute you in honoring the JoyconBoyz legacy.
Etika's gotta be smiling down on all of us at this point. This was the character he wanted in.
What was the phrase again?
Byleth had all those things. It's just the fanbase got bitter and salty.
@@BJGvideos nah man. I LOVE Fire Emblem Three Houses, and Byleth felt like a rushed addition, like they had something else planned that fell though. Here's what I mean:
Joker got a stage that changes depending on the music.
@@googleit1131 Idk, they feel pretty good to me. And that trailer doesn't seem rushed.
Watching people freak out about that Mickey Mouse keychain never gets old
#ThankYouSakurai
The Handshake between Mario and Sora. Omg two of my favorite universes shaking hands I screamed just screamed. A dream come true!
Hey I saw this yesterday and I wanted to say thank you so much for including me in this. Means the absolute world to me. I hope you have an absolutely goated day
Glad you were able to find this video. When I was searching for reactions yours really hit me. Seeing you cry as two of your favorite games (Smash and Kingdom Hearts) come together was truly magical. I've literally replayed your reaction a hundred times in the last few days. I wish nothing but the best for you.🙏
You're telling me that these people randomly put on a kingdom hearts shirt and didn't already know?
Probably because there was a leak saying it’s Sora a few days ago, so they were hoping for it to be true
They felt it in their soul lmao
Hoping. I would wear a Zelda shirt hoping for Impa to be added.
I remember Sora being heavily requested and rumored about 15 years ago. Crazy to think that it took this long, but very most welcome to see
YOOOO THATS ME AT 8:28 LETS GOOOO
Glad to see you, the fans and other creators so happy for Sora. It makes me so hype for the 18th when everyone that has waited over a decade to finally get to play as him. Cool to see you commented.
The KH1 trailer music(Hikari orchestra) is almost 20 fucking years old and it’s _magical_ every time it plays
The moment Sora appeared along with the accompanying KH theme music?
You’d know shit is about to go down!
I've never played Kingdom Hearts so when I watched the trailer live I was like "oh pff its Sora, thats funny" but watching these people's reactions is literally making me cry, I'm very glad they finished off with him
So many tears of joy were shed that moment.
No matter whether you're a fan of KH or not... no matter how many times you say you don't want Sora to be in Smash... you can't look at this trailer for the first time and smile.
I wanted Yuri Lowell. I wanted Kairi. But when I saw the silhouette of the keyblade in the fire, I already knew it was Sora before the Mickey emblem even showed. When the music kicked in, I was on the verge of tears.
It makes me happy to see all these people with such pure reactions like I had when I saw the trailer. I cry every time I see their pure joy
Watching these brings me to tears all over again. Couldn't be happier
I just shaved my beard off. 🤣 Sora, we've been waiting old friend. 🤺🔑
The Mickey Keychain reminds me of when the Jiggy flew across the screen in the BK reveal. The second people see it they lose their minds.
Nintendo really know how to make a trailer the suspense the music everything just brings out all sorts of emotions
Been saying for ages that they should study Smash trailers in both advertising and psychology classes
Never have I played a Kingdom Hearths game but I played every single Smash. I still remember Iwata San saying that in Smash you would play as your favourite character and beat the heck out of each other. This was true for me since the N64. It brings me to tears to think how it has become the same for so many people over the years.
Hats off to MR Sakurai and Nintendo for making this shit happen.
