Most Americans don't realize just how special this cup is to every Canadian hockey fan. It is it by far the best designed and best looking trophy in all of sports. The football and basketball trophies do not compare. It is also the oldest first first presented in 1893 in Montreal. The best part is the name is engraved upon it of every player and coach forever. When full a ring is removed and a new empty ring added but the names stay around forever. Now that is a trophy people. Just to touch it is magic and I know.

Silver also tarnishes and turns black from oxidation with just regular oils from your hands and would be way worse from saltwater. So either way it will either rust severely or oxidize if not cleaned im pretty sure. I could be wrong though.
