Best damn era in hip hop as far as my old ass is concerned. I remember when this album came out, 1993, just got out of work at a video game arcade (yup that was the best era too), was standing outside in line at midnight, cold as all fk out, I was in college at University of Michigan and the Tower Records was on the corner of South University and Church St. at the time, before it moved down a few spots....must have been hundreds of us in line. The line extended up the stairs, walked right up to the inside area where there were fking CASES of CDs and cassettes, even records because DJs still used records then mostly. Got my Snoop Dogg CD, went back across the street to where I lived at the time, University Towers, blasted the shit out of that CD with my roommate Pete while we played Super NES Street Fighter until 6am, and the crazy shit is, if you went out in the hallways you could hear multiple others who has just bought that same Doggy style CD and blastin the shits out of it. The next day I only had one real class I needed to go to, think it was a wednesday, I was at the music school in North Campus. Here I am in the music school, and everyone else is practicing like maniacs in the dungeon (thats what we called the basement area practice rooms) and I'm walking around with my Panasonic CD walkman still playing Doggy style....Shit man....now I'm turning into an old man, and I still haven't done any of the shit I dreamed about doing back then...... All kinds of memories come up when you hear music, even something like Doggy style album.... music is the one thing that everyone can relate to in a time in their lives, that, and for some reason, I can smell a certain perfume or something similar and a memory will pop up from 40 years ago...... shit man..

@@francaghisu3571 only because snoop would agree ,
I'm 38 and I've never seen the opening to this video until today.
I met snoop after his concert in Oslo when I was 18, the guy is super humble and real G! He set down with us sharing one J, having a conversation about being and stuff! The guy is wise 😎
All kinds of memories come up when you hear music, even something like Doggy style album.... music is the one thing that everyone can relate to in a time in their lives, that, and for some reason, I can smell a certain perfume or something similar and a memory will pop up from 40 years ago......
shit man..
Loved this on MTV, coolest video ever seen. Back in the 90s;
Snoop is still going now, 30 years later. You have to respect that guy, he's the King.

One of the greatest snoop songs ever with such a unique beat…
I like the fact that the guy playing his dad at the beginning is only like 10 years older than him.
What a time to be alive 😊. Blessed to have been growing up with these classics ❤
