Good review. How are the inner pouch/pockets, are they floppy? When tools are placed inside them do stay snug? I have several tool bags and backpacks and what i do is cut up wash cloths and stuff them in certain pockets so that my screwdrivers or whatever tool is in the pocket fits snug. It works pretty good for me. Shorter tools wont sink as you can custom cut the cloths and stuff the bottom or to the exact size you need. I bought the Klein because i wanted a medium size backpack that would not be too heavy. I only wanted the basic tools for simple installs. The bigger the bag, more tools, more weight on your back. Most guys will stuff THEM beyond capacity because we want all the tools needed to complete the job. I have the 75 pocket CLC which i cart around on a 2 wheel pull because its heavy. Back packs are great i think we men have to be careful putting too much weight on our backs.
So far the bag has held up awesome, I finished trimming out and problem shooting a big job about a month ago and it was awesome for this application. All my tools with me for whatever weird job needed doing, also no risk of banging any finish work as I walked around (unlike with bags) all this said though I’ve been roughing in a multi family for the last month and the bag sits in my car as a tool organizer basically. So trim out I love it but it won’t replace your bags.
Adam Wibby I own the ultimate job site one with the two handles and it's working good for me I'm a handyman I used to do repairs it works perfectly for the tools I need it holds just the right amount of tools to get the job done
@@uniquesoundsolutions I no longer Haul around all my tools..I now plan and Pack my bags accordingly. I also have a Klein backpack. I returned my Milwaukee backpack because it was super uncomfortable and felt like I strapped my toolBag directly onto my back.I didn't try the ultimate model out, maybe its more comfy compared to the $59.99 model. I'll usually load up my Backpack with the tools I need for that said day/job. i have a quiver of tool bags too. I usually use my Klein rolling bag as my most used Bag. I didn't try the ultimate model out, maybe its more comfy compared to the $59.99 model.
@@pierrevalentino6904 We have to do what works best for us. I'm not the young stud i once was. I was rear-ended a few years back which resulted in a back injury so i use a light weight 2 wheel cart to lug my tools around. I have the $90 camo klein tradesman 55597 back pack. I love it. It contains only the bare necessities including a light weight Hilti 12 volt drill. I wish you well and when transporting tools think of your body and your back as the best way to preserve your back for the longterm. Happy New Year.
This is awesome! Thank you so much. I'm actually a chainmaille artist but I travel to arts and craft shows and always have a regular toolbag with me. (Pliers, supplies, etc.) After killing 2 toolbags, I'm ready for something more durable. I can't believe these Milwaukee bags aren't in stores! I was going to do what you did... buy both online and return the one I didn't like but now thanks to you, I don't have to.
I use the backpack you returned. I like that one because it has a pouch in the front. I use that to carry an impact and drill. I like it because it's easier to carry everything hands free.
Nice I have the other backpack when it first came out, it’s been about 2 yrs or so still holding up really good, thinking bout upgrading to this one looks beast!!!!
I bought this Milwaukee backpack because the great Price tag and Returned it once I saw the Klein Tech bag in Person....The Milwaukee Bag is way uncomfortable. The arms slide off your shoulders while walking ( I have your average mans upper body) , using the chest strap is a must. Milwaukee had Great intentions but it shows that BackPacks aren't their Specialty and or they Hired a SHitty engineer/designer. If you check out both Bag's in Person, Then you'll see what im talking about. The Klein STraps are super durable ( you can see and feel the quality materials) the straps are super pillowy on your shoulders, You can feel them mold onto your shoulder's. The Milwaukee on the other hand feels like you took 2 Leather belts and strapped it to a big card board Box and Wore it. Bottom line is the Milwaukee feels like youre wearing a Toolbag on your back and the Klein feels like a Backpack. Im in noway a Klein fanboy. I just happenned to come across a Klein backpack, a few weeks after I got the Milwaukee backpack.
I have the Klein tool station as one of my bags. I love that thing. So much open space for large tools. But the rest of my bags are very bags. Can beat them.
And maybe a double sided zipper on the inside pouch would be nice. One on each side, so if u do open the top to just grab something quick but also when the bags flat and fully open u could unzip the bottom and go that route
I have the Klein version of that one and it sucks. Not thick enough to put my drill plus tools. Now that I saw this review I will be looking into getting this bag pack or the packout bag back.
as an owner of the original Milwaukee backpack until somebody liberated it from me all those concerns you had about it and not keeping your tools and flopping open and the two handle thing is nonsense it's perfect I just watched this review to see if I wanted to get my old one again or this one
Thank you for an informative great report on the Milwaukee tool bag. I had their smaller one and before I been using it I decided to give it to my son and he enjoys it but hes in a different line of work Then I. After watching it I'm going to go ahead and buy one of those today I been looking at it in the kinds &c L fees and read knowledge reviews and everything but your was exceptionally good I have to do mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic maintenance repair work at a meat packing plant so I hope it holds up.
Great Review! I was tempted by the Klein but agree that there is not enough room for tools And my Impact+Bits. Saw you slip your impact into the Middle pocket. Would it fit comfortably in the Front pocket, including bits? Does the size of the Impact intrude on the tool capacity of the larger Middle pocket? Thoughts?
Awesome video, I actually own the Kline in camo and the one thing I really don’t like is the rubber bottom, I wish they would have made it out of hard plastic after awhile it doesn’t want to stand up anymore which sucks because I do a lot of restaurant hvacr work and the floors are always nasty lol
I’ve been using bucket liners for years but after getting packout boxes I’ve been seriously thinking of getting the packout back pack. How has the pack itself held up over time? I’ve heard the buckles been breaking but honestly that doesn’t bother me much if most likely modify the factory straps with A.L.I.C.E. Quick release
Great review! Can I recommend you get a hydro flask water bottle instead of nalgene. I only drink water out of glass or stainless steel. No plastics of any kind. A Hydro flask would fit perfectly in that slot and be nice and cool even on a hot day to Hydrate with.
I've just got to know, why in the world would you carry a 30+lb backpack full of tools from recep to recep all day long? I personally need a pair of strippers, side cutters, flathead and wobbly to do a building full of receptacles or switches.... I usually just throw the few tools i need in a small over-the-belt velcro mini pouch. Carrying around by pack sounds absolutely exhausting.
Hi ESR, at the time of the review i was working on an excessively large home where our van was a good ten minute walk away so having the pack near by was a nice way to have access to all my tools not in my bags. I do the same for just trim out with the sissy bags and a few tools, great trick. But when we needed to tone out a crossed circuit or if i needed to add a whip for a boiler and didn’t have MC tools in my bags the backpack was fantastic to supply a rotozip, red head, connector, a few straps, some self tappers and maybe a hole saw. Just one example of how the pack was invaluable from puzzle to puzzle.
Adam, good review. I am looking at this for multitask maintenance. Have you tried (or can you try) to put a laptop in there if the drills were removed?
Hi mate from the description your comparing it to the wrong klein, the biggest klein is the trademans Pro master backpack. I'm sure it's bigger than that.
Kinda wish you did a review of the other bag too.. I'm looking for a smaller essentials only bag to keep weight down and looking to get the other bag you returned.. would have been nice to get a no bullshit review as I'm in electrics too
@phillip perkins would you rather I attach my resume? Or list out all of what I do? HV, LV, ELV, security alarms, access control, cctv, structured cabling, networks and IT, domestic, commercial, industrial up until a few years ago, I could keep going but it just seemed quicker to write "electrics".. I'll know better for next time
Nice overview man, you brought some good insight into the uses of the pack. I wasn't really considering any of the milwaukee packs. I really dislike using a tool box and have been on and off searching for a tool back pack actually worth buying. It's not even so much about the price (except veto is kinda out of the question due to that, especially in Canada) it's more about it not sucking. I'm gonna have to research into this one now. I've got some questions... I hope it's not too much to ask you :) The Klein seems the "go to", but I don't trust the quality/toughness; I hear the zippers fail within a 2-6 months, or the stiching around it - or some other stress point. And the points you made about it flaying open all the way - I could see that being a negative in many circumstances too. How long have you been using this pack on the job now? How is the durability and quality (stiching, seams, zippers especially?). How is the organization/number of pockets working out for you? Does it still stand upright when you've got tools in it at work, and when removing more and more tools (lightening it up) etc? How is that red strap holding up if you use that to hang the pack with tools in it. I need a waterproof bottom as well where I live, that limits choices to only a few packs. Thanks again for taking the time to make this video. I'm just a noob electrician - just starting. Have a nice day.
Complex I bought Klein’s new 55485 tradesmen pro master tool bag and it came from the factory with 2 Fucked up zippers. And the pouches were in shitty spots.
I don’t think veto is overpriced whatsoever. You just have to realize that the significant quality increase results in a significant price increase. I just moved all my gear from the TECHMCT into this backpack. Decent bag so far but the veto is well worth the money and the quality is there
Liked the vid. 2nd time I've watched it. However, don't you always hate it when someone speaks for "everyone" when few people have been asked? And, I haven't been asked? Something about a water bottle?
get a zipper bag looks like a pencil case it is made of ballistic material that will fix problem with all your nuts and bolts i love my ultimate jobsite bag still holding up strong well made
Yea, I’ll probably do that or a small hard organizer so I can always know what I’m about to run out of. Just can’t find the right one yet! But a zipper bag would be good for wire nuts.
Adam Wibby it definitely is I use them I have two Klein a little pricey but they worked out just fine they hold all my loose nuts and stuff i need it's made of ballistic canvas very durable and doesn't take up a lot of space I hope to get some years out of the bag my tool bag before this I got a 1996 my first one and it's seen better days but It still has it use one of my co-workers told me to buy that Flex Seal spray and coat whole bottom of the bag with it to give it some durability not sure if I want to do that to to my 22 year old bag i also got AWP BRAND BAG HAD THAT ONE 9 YEARS

Adam Wibby, Yea, haha. And the names you hear for tools, equipment, and procedures etc. on the job (in any trade) rarely match the ones you learned in school/in the book. I'd have someone tell me to grab a few "x" and have to respond "...a what?" Only to have them use the actual name and think "ohhh, you mean a self tapping screw." It's too many words/syllables to use on the job - or people make up "fun" names. You know what I mean by "fun", too. Haha. Peace.
