Another great video, Jeff. In a time where everything is rushed, bought from a third party or 3D printed, your craftmanship reminds me of a slower-paced modeling experience worth revisiting. Cheers.
What an Awesome Compliment and Description...Love it....Cheers Le Trepidant!!
Agree. This patience and dedication inspire me from a looong time. All mentioned tools are useful, but people seems to forgot what this hobby is about.

Jeff, you always astonish me everytime you make a new video. Cheap materials, handwork, excellent results... Pure craftmanship, modelling art, you name it. I can´t say it´s realistic, I only can say it´s REAL.
Thanks a lot for your work, keep on modelling this way and cheers from Madrid, Spain!
😮😊Thank You Antonio Aunión Durán !! I definitely like finding new ways to work with basic stuff -One of these days I'll have to break out all my fancy effects paints and crack open model or 2..maybe the next tutorial 😄..Cheers from the PNW USA!!

Can’t wait for payday. I’ve put off ordering your set on eBay but it will be my gift to myself. Foam is great.. but for realism this is how you do it. Great work as always Jeff!!
Thanks ColossalBigShot!...Sweet!..I have tried with foam but like you said hard to get realistic results...but..I did just order in some foam to experiment with for a future tutorial..see if the video ever makes it to UA-cam..lol
@@JeffReiten right.. why I’m always glad to see one. You should check out AK interactive carving foam. It’s the best I’ve found to reall get those details.
@@colossalbigfoot256 AK stuff is normally high quality good stuff..I'll definitely check it out!
Stunning work as always Jeff regards Fred 👌😎🎅🏻
Thank You Fred I Appreciate it!!😁
Hi
Can you explain why you use dental plaster instead of regular plaster.is it less brital?
Hey @shipyard44444 , Yeah You can use both but I have found that dental stone is stronger, can be cast in thinner sections and doesnt break down while painting.....Plaster has a tendency to break down while painting or in some cases you will loose detail just by touching or holding plaster pieces..dental stone is very tough and really holds detail thru all of this
@@JeffReiten thanks I will try this
Great video Jeff, learning a lot of great things from all of them. Do you have any suggestions for crushing bricks down to get the dust from them...an angle grinder with an attachment perhaps? and also where to get the type of sand you used to sculpt a road with the plaster mix? Hoping to use a few of your technique in future for a project.
Hey Sodapop VIII !! Thank You!! When I crushed my bricks for the video turning real brick into 1:35th scale bricks I basically just chipped off some smaller chunks and then stuck those chunks between 5 or 6 pieces of paper on top and bottom then used a regular hammer to hit and crush them down to fine powder..doesn't take long...the sand is just a bag of river sand I got at the local home improvement or hardware store-I have used just rinsed and filter dirt from outside before with good success..to filter i used a metal mesh strainer and for really small i used a tea strainer Thanks Again Sodapop!!
heres basically the strainers i used www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CTG-00-3MS-Stainless-Steel-Strainers/dp/B007TUQF9O/ref=asc_df_B007TUQF9O/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167123558869&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15397357106856735545&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9033419&hvtargid=pla-273402976934&psc=1
Many thanks for the information, will put it to good work!
@@SodapopVII Awesome!!😊
That brick wall looks super real, would love to see what you could do with an old boxcar or rebadged loco in HO scale!:)
