I'm not native, I'm not young, and Ontario is not even the country of my ancestors, but since I was a child I've longed to know the people on whose land I now reside, and whose disappearance was always a mystery to me. And I mean get to know you, not just know about you. When I was young I used to fantasize about donning a disguise and sneaking into school on a reserve (I thought everyone spoke Ojibwe) These videos are a rich opportunity to realize a tiny fraction of that dream, and they're a gift that keeps on giving because I share what I learn.

Wow. This is a reality I never realized existed. People do not know who we as Anishinaabe people are let alone know we still exist and this is our land they live upon. I find it fascinating and thank you for sharing.

I stumbled on this searching for completely unrelated stuff. But I hear in this teachers voice such sincerity and such honor that I'm going to listen to this random lecture on something I had no initial interest in, just because I feel the presence of a great teacher teaching something that matters to him to people he really wants to teach.

Great stuff keep it up.. I'm an American who is Black. But there is Native ancestors from mothers side..
I Think it is really ashame and atrocious that their is not a lot more exposure on every level especially the media about 1st Nation cultures.. This is where the sense of American freedom began..

I would say it's probably best to not buy wampum these days commercially. ( Unless you are native and using it for it's sacred purpose) It is being over harvested.
