My favorite track is of course, Defy Myself. Met Tommy and KC when they asked me about playing bass with them way back in 2000...I'd just left Foul Mouth from Northern California, we had a similar sound but my stage image was more Motorhead, Ghetto Metal and they kinda had a Flock of Segall/ Orgy/Maryln Manson stage look and they were just forming their band, they later changed their name to Pinhead . Bass players were in high demand in North Hollywood back then..so I played for a lot of different artists. My chops were perfect but my look just didn't fit their stage image.. I still loved and supported Tommy and KC. Really loved the sound and they should have been signed instead of Coal Chamber.. Pinhead was a much better band.. One of the only bands I'd take time to drive over Laural Canyon to support on the strip. I spent most of my time in the valley working in almost every studio from Burbank to Agoura Hills playing bass. Finally settled down with a steady gig over at Warner Brothers, then got out of the zoo @ 40 yrs old to live a "normal life ". I still blast 'Defy Myself' at high volume whenever I want to scare the local kids today. Excellent song.
